Lived up to the hype! š¤ donāt forget to get the ketchup/curry dipping sauce! Itās still good without it tho
my absolute favorite brunch spot!! the sourdough waffles replaced my years long obsession with their ricotta pancakes somehowā and their breakfast sandwich? the best deal in the city. Rich, beautiful, filling. I take anyone visiting vancouver to hunnybee, and they always love it. Would love to spend all my mornings here, truly. It is always a good day when I start my day herešāāļø

price is on the higher end in my personal opinion. however i highly highly recommend the breakfast ham and avocado sandwich. its worth every penny. tacos are available in the evening around 4pm as far as i remember. decent tacos for $20. lots of seating inside and out. nice staff.

Food is great. Price is very good. I liked the vibe. I just donāt like the fact that you need to pay for your order first which makes adding things to your order awkward while seated. I highly recommend and would go back for sure. Coffee was good too.
Update: this place is the greatest!

Went in after opening, waited 40 min for pancakes. They are quite tasteless unless you dipāem in jam or syrup.
Breakfast sandwich just ok.
Be prepared that clothes would smell like kitchen for next couple of hours, this place has no proper vent.

It was our very last morning in Vancouver and we wanted to try some of the ābestā breakfast sandwiches in the city. People hype up this sandwich a ton, and in my opinion this was the best I tried. The sourdough toast they make is just perfect for all of the rich and delicious ingredients inside. After trying that bread I wish we could have tried the pizzas there, but this breakfast sandwich was a great end to our Vancouver trip.

Probably the best breakfast sandwich Iāve ever had! It was extremely busy when we visited but we managed to get a table quick and I would definitely wait if I had to. Cute vibe, cute coffee mugs, nice staff and very affordable compared to other places.
Also if you are looking for the best hot sauce, get their made in house one, itās genuinely unbelievable.
We sat down at a table and immediately was told to order food first and vacate the table. Poor customer service being barked at right off the bat when we are planning to sit down and have breakfast. After we ordered and chose a spot, there was a platter of food overhead our sitting area (could easily be knocked off hitting us in the head, but they refused to move it away) plus a very dirty fan right next to the platter of food. Would you want to eat food that had a black dust-encrusted fan sitting right next to it? Overall, not impressed, not coming back and not recommending this place. There are other places in town to eat at.
The food was delicious, but the cashier with bangs was very rude and spoke very aggressively with rolling her eyes. This is my first time but i guess itās maybe the last due to poor service.

TL;DR: Do not come here for brunch. Waited over an hour for mediocre pancakes and a sandwich, got crammed into a tiny table, and dealt with condescending service the entire time. Despite the complete lack of basic hospitality, they still expect you to tip at least 18%.
I rarely leave reviews, but this was such a negative experience that I felt compelled to share. Came here for brunch and honestly wish we hadnāt bothered.
From the start, the experience was awful. The woman who took our order was incredibly rude. Since it was our first time there, we initially thought we could order and pay separately, so each of us went up to the counter to pay. She snapped at us, saying we had to order together but could pay separately, and spoke to us in a condescending way, as if we were dumb for not already knowing this. The rest of my party didnāt hear her explanation since they were standing behind me, and when she had to repeat herself, she rolled her eyes and acted like it was so much effort to explain again.
To top it off, the tipping options start at 18%, which is wild considering it is counter service and you do everything yourself. When we asked for water, we were bluntly told it was self-serve, without even bothering to tell us where the water station was.
The wait time was ridiculous. It took over an hour for our food to come out, while people who were seated after us received their meals first, including tables that ordered the exact same items. It shouldnāt take that long to make a sandwich and some pancakes. When our food finally arrived, there was no explanation, no apology, and no check-in at any point during the meal.
Seating was another nightmare. We were crammed three people at a two-person table, in a space so tight there was barely room to eat. They even tried to squeeze another group of three right next to us, with zero regard for comfort or personal space. It felt chaotic, overcrowded, and poorly managed.
Brunch should be enjoyable, but this was stressful, frustrating, and made worse by condescending staff. Definitely wonāt be back.
