I recently visited Hydra with my friends. This was my second time dining here — my first visit was a solid 5/5, so I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, this time the experience was not as great. I ordered moussaka, but the dish was lacking seasoning and tasted quite plain. The waitress didn't offer salt or pepper, so my friend had to get salt from the counter and season our dishes ourselves. Part of my appetizer order included tzatziki, which never arrived at the table. When I reminded the waitress, she simply apologized but didn't explain why it wasn't served. Overall, I'd give this visit a 2/5 — food 3/5 and service 2/5. I hope this was just an off day, as I really enjoyed my first visit and would love to see the quality return to that level.

Amazing atmosphere and exceptional food. Our team came here for a small holiday dinner, and everything was outstanding. We loved the happy hour dolmathes, calamari, bread and dip, lamb sliders, and the salmon entrée (salmon is a must try).
The space is gorgeous with its blue-and-white Greek aesthetic, lively energy, and great music. It’s a touch loud at times (or maybe that’s just my age talking), but the overall vibe is fantastic.
Conveniently close to the downtown core, it’s an excellent spot for corporate meetings, team celebrations, or casual get-togethers with friends. Highly recommend.

I had breakfast at Hydra Estiatorio, and it was really good! The place is beautifully decorated, calm, and centrally located, is a great spot to start the day. The service was friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the overall experience was good.

Table agreed beet salad and dips were under seasoned. Prawn saganaki and meatballs were wonderful, oysters fresh, kalamari nothing to write home about. Would come back for the vibe and to try a few new dishes. Oh ya, the sangria and cocktails were pretty damn good too.

I am really upset that we only discovered this place on our last night in Vancouver. We were visiting from the US. This place is absolutely fantastic. For The service is undoubtedly friendly and approachable. The food is simply marvelous. We embarrassed ourselves by ordering way too much food. We had no idea what we were getting into. We enjoyed the oysters, Hydra special, village flatbread, chicken souvlaki, and the dark chocolate olive oil cake. I would eat that all again most happily. If and when we return to Vancouver we are definitely coming back here for a few more meals. I have not had all the Greek food in North America. However, I whole-heartedly enjoy well executed meals. For me, this place will always be the best Greek food I have ever had in North America. And a very special thank you to Brittany Marcq.
