I ordered the butter chicken roti, lamb saag roti, and pakoras for dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious! What I love most is how convenient and mess-free it is, making it perfect for taking to the beach and enjoying without any hassle. The flavors were comforting and satisfying, and I’ll definitely be back for more.

I struggle to give this place 5 stars only for the fact that I don’t want it to get anymore popular and have the wait times longer.. but alas I must tell the truth, 5/5 food roti & pakora all the way level 6 🔥

I have been buying meals from Indian Roti Kitchen for many years. I LOVE their rotis. I even have to buy a bunch for my sister each time I visit her on the island. They freeze really well, so I buy many at a time. I very highly recommend!!!

We have been going to Indian Roti Kitchen for takeout for many years. We have always found the food and the service to be delightful!
Vegetarian options: I personally enjoy the mixed veggie korma. You can request spice levels from 1 to 6.
Parking: If a spot is not available in front on Cambie, I always find something around the corner on 14 Ave.

It's a takeout-only Indian restaurant specializing in curries wrapped in a roti. This format is very unique and space-efficient, but also a delicious different way to enjoy curry. You can also get typical Indian snacks and dishes with rice instead of roti. You can add in additional proteins or veggies to your dish for an additional cost. I found it easy to use their website to order, and my order was ready at just about the exact estimated time that they gave me.
I ordered the baingan bhurtha roti with added paneer and spinach for something different. The roti portion was huge and well worth the cost even with the fees from my add-ons. I ate the whole roti for fear that it wouldn't keep well but saved some of the curry for the next day. The roti itself was very good - tender but not tough, didn't get soggy from the curry. The curry also was pretty good - no surprises, but flavourful. It was less oily than a lot of restaurant-style Indian food which I appreciated. The paneer and spinach add-ons worked well, I would recommend trying it with these if you don't mind spending a little extra. I ordered medium spice and it was actually a little milder than I expected on day 1, but the heat was more intense on day 2. It was extremely hot when they gave it to me. This is great if you have a long trip home before you can eat it, but I took it to the park by City Hall which is just a few minutes' walk, so I had to tear open the roti and let it vent for quite a while before it was a bearable temperature to eat.
I also got a mango lassi. This actually surprised me with how good it was. I could really taste the fresh mango! This was the thick kind of lassi that's best to drink with a straw.
It is, again, takeout-only, so there's not much atmosphere, but there are chairs that you can sit in if you need to wait. The staff was very nice.

I want to share a bad experience I had with this restaurant. I placed an online order and then went to the restaurant to pick it up. However, my order was not ready. The woman at the counter told me it would be ready in 5 minutes, but I waited 20 minutes. She didn’t even apologize for this. I expected her to be more honest and polite, but unfortunately, she wasn’t. Think twice before placing an order.

BAD experience!!!!
I went to pick up an order for delivery. The woman at the counter told me it would be ready in 2-3 minutes. However, I ended up waiting for 12 minutes without any apology from her. She was disrespectful and didn't seem to care about me. Because I do deliveries, she was not honest about the actual wait time. When I mentioned the delay, she dismissed it, saying only 2-3 minutes had passed, which was not true. I waited for 12 minutes, and later, she gave me negative feedback on the Uber app. I think this person needs to learn to respect people and be honest.

This hidden gem is getting too popular. Seen the prices jump up quite a bit since they first opened. Food is superb. Great that you can order online now.
I ordered for take out and was told 40min max as we are busy. I had to wait hour and 15 for a takeout and wasn’t even able to eat it due to now having to go into a meeting… service is terrible.
