I’ve been to Indian Oven many times this past year and I’ll keep coming back. I don’t even think I use my own oven anymore. Some of my favourites are the mango chicken, egg curry, baby eggplant, chicken tikka burger, anything with paneer. Every time I try something new it ends up being my new favourite. Something people don’t talk about enough is their cocktails. Their special cocktails are the best and never disappoint. Between the cocktails, the service, and the amazing food, this place is the perfect spot for a night out in Kitsilano. The name fits too because everything here the staff, food, and atmosphere are always warm and welcoming.

The best place to dine in Vancouver… suddenly made a plan with a bunch of friends.. wasn’t expecting much at that hour but the ambience was great … authentic food tasted soo finee .. loved the vibe❤️methi chaman was fireee❤️highlyy recommended .. said hii to the sweetest chef arvindd❤️

Food was very average. Noodles were way too salty and sour, though the only plus point was that they had a good amount of vegetables in it. Golgappas were disappointing, the water lacked taste, and the bread was undercooked. They waived off the charge for it from the bill without asking for it. But paying for undercooked lacha paratha was not felt fair. The only dish I actually enjoyed was the paneer, which was nicely done. They also gave one dessert on house hoping to make things right. Appreciated. Service also wasn’t great. After dropping appetizers and mains, no one checked on our table. I had to get up myself to grab napkins and share feedback at the counter. The server there was kind enough to make things right, but unfortunately by that time we were already done and had to leave. I still left a tip since I work in the same industry and don’t believe in no-tip, but honestly, the overall experience could have been much better.

I wanted to support a local restaurant by ordering directly from them instead of using a delivery app, and I specifically chose somewhere that would be quick. Since I was feeling a little under the weather, I opted for delivery and placed my order well before the dinner rush at 5:12 pm. Despite living just a four-minute walk away and tipping upfront, my $50+ order was delivered cold an hour and 23 minutes later at 6:35 pm - well beyond the 20 - 40 minute delivery window stated on the restaurant’s website. I was told the driver arrived late, but it’s unclear why the delivery still took nearly an hour and a half when I live less than five minutes away. Dine-in might be fine, but for delivery, look elsewhere.

Wow, words truly can’t express how I feel about Indian Oven. Genuinely one of the most glorious and much needed meals of my life. I fear the things I learned about myself while dining at this stunning restaurant will stay with me long after the food has digested 🙂 Perhaps I’m experiencing limerance but I can only hope Indian Oven loved having me as much as I enjoyed being had ❤️ WOULD DINE AGAIN!

Indian oven is delicious! The food was amazing, and portion sizes are large, great to share or for leftovers. The staff are lovely, and the drinks are great too.
