What a great experience! At just under $100 it’s one of the more budget-friendly omakase in the city, but you still don’t sacrifice much on taste and experience. Many of the dishes had a unique blend of flavours and textures that we haven’t experienced at other restaurants. Our favourites were the poached oyster and the tuna

Best value omakase you can get in Vancouver hands down! I tried sawada for the first time and I love it, mostly because the chef went the extra mile and smoked them haha.
Super nice staff, super fresh, super tasty, fair price, 10/10 would go again.

This is a $100+ experience but the lunch price is so affordable and the food quality is so high. Every detail from the service, the tableware, the food preparation (smoked cherry blossom leaf marinated salmon for example) won my heart and not to say everything was delicious. I can't wait to return again.

A tidy restaurant with a Japanese theme. The food is fresh, but the atmosphere feels too crowded. They need a larger space to accommodate customers, particularly by extending the serving counter significantly.

Food was delicious. Great value for omakase experience. Don’t expect much for atmosphere for that price. Would definitely return or try their lunch omakase

Hidden Gem for Omakase Lovers!
The chef here is not only highly skilled but also incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even more special. The space may be small, but the intimate atmosphere adds to its charm. You can truly see the chef’s personal touch in every detail, from the thoughtful presentation to the careful selection of ingredients, all reflecting his deep passion for his craft. Every bite was exceptional: perfectly balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and a beautiful showcase of mainly local products, with the option to enjoy premium imported selections as well. I would recommend getting the Hokkaido Uni upgrade for uni lovers!
What makes this spot even more impressive is that it delivers high quality ingredients at a more affordable price point compared to other omakase restaurants in the city.
I genuinely loved my experience here and highly recommend it to anyone who values great food and heartfelt hospitality.

Being cancelled by the owner the day before my reservation date in Jan bc I called them to confirm why they show temporarily closed. Re-schedule a Feb date for me which was yesterday and turned out that they do not open on Tuesdays anymore. No notice AGAIN EVER. Please realize that i have to keep reaching out not bc I love you. It is bc you asked for a credit card info for reservation and I do not wanna be charged by irresponsible owners by any chance. Phone calls NEVER were picked up. Emails no replies. Please AVOID if you do not want to be ghosted by a restaurant. Truly a surprising way doing business these days.

The same thing happened to me as it did to the others in the photos attached. I had a reservation made months ago but now the restaurant is temporarily closed and they have not provided any updates. I emailed them but received no response which is very unprofessional.
Unforgettable experience

After eating at this store, I really want to laugh at another store that claims to be very cost-effective. However, this kind of thing is easy to cause disputes, so I won’t go into details. People who understand will naturally know which company I am talking about.
This restaurant costs RMB 88 for lunch and RMB 88 for dinner. I have tried both and they are both very good! It is the kind where dishes are served one after another and the chef's care can be seen in each dish. This is called omakase, right? This word has a threshold, right?
Generally speaking, I think the chef's taste style is both gentle and distinct. Needless to say, there is no need to talk about the ingredients. There is no common pile of expensive ingredients, but some common or uncommon ingredients. Ingenious use of it to achieve a wonderful taste experience. The ones that impressed me deeply were salmon roe chawanmushi, mullet shirataki, grouper tachisakiyaki, miso ice cream and a sushi with chili pepper that I forgot the name... Anyway, they all gave me a unique taste experience. Good food. Of course every other dish was very good and nothing was a disappointment. It's just that it's not as unique as these for me, so the memory points are not strong enough.
Lunch and dinner are both very good. The ingredients for dinner may be a little more advanced, but the number of dishes is actually about the same. If you want to experience it, you can try it from lunch first~
Finally, if I have to be picky, I think it may be because there are fried and grilled things at dinner, so I feel that the air in the store is a little worse at night than at noon, which makes my eyes smell a bit...so if you are sensitive to air, It is recommended to choose to have lunch, lunch does not have this problem.
In addition, the chef is from Hong Kong, so he can speak Chinese, Cantonese and English, which makes communication very convenient!
In addition, because his business is very good, if you go, remember to book a seat on the official website~

Came for the omakase dinner, service was great as well as the food. You could tell the chef takes pride in his work, he was meticulous with his prep. My first time having omakase and it was a lovely experience overall, big thank you to the staff and the chef.
