Really good experience! It's been really hard to go out to loud places since my concussion so it was a bit difficult for me but the server was really fun and chatty so I felt comfortable. I'm looking forward to going back!Best nachos ever!

This place has a high rating for a reason.Atmosphere 10/10Service 10/10Food 11/10Not to mention the insane daily deals they have. Always hard finding a good nacho place but Jackalopes has some of the best I’ve had. Different kinds of nachos you don’t regularly see either. Come check this place out

Classic bar food with great music (if you like it heavy)I was warned about the nachos heat, but they weren't that hot. Beef dip was solid.

An extreme metal bar, with craft beers, burgers, nachos and other junk food with plenty of vegan options. Yeah, works for me.They were blaring death metal the whole time, which is definitely up my alley. The beer list is just average, but I could enjoy a glass or two here. Food-wise, I got a veggie burger (a proper homemade bean-based patty, not a fake meat one), with a side caesar salad (~$20 + surcharges for vegan cheese). The burger was massive; I liked the patty, but it was otherwise a fairly low-effort, low-quality burger -- iceberg lettuce, lifeless white bun, etc. -- and quite pricey. After tax/tip, that was a ~$28 meal. Yikes. They also are able to do vegan nachos, but I'm not huge into junk food. Maybe I'll try them another time if I'm here with other vegans.Fun spot that beats most environments solely because of the music., but there's little else to lure me back given how many superior vegan food options there are in the area.

Our friend took us here, was splendidly excited to walk in to a such an establishment where we felt at home. (Metal heads, this one you want to check out) I had the kornflake chicken burger, which was better than Mamma never made. The bf had a beef dip, which was also better than chewing on day old bread. Needless to say, we shall be back. Also, they have hot sauce for people who partake in such debauchery \m/

This place is all around amazing. Definitely the best nachos I've ever had in my life - loaded with tasty toppings and very well covered in cheese. The small size was actually a very large portion!

Actually, while I’m no metal head, this owner-run bar has great food, great legitimate interest among clientele and the community in east van, and really it’s a commitment all around. It’s excellent. The nachos were so well packed-in and arranged with superlative skill. This is the aura of metal rock tucked into a heart-on-the-sleeves small business. Respect! Much love to small business integrity and community like this.

One of my favourite bars ever. I would have beef backs everyday if I could.

Let me tell you, if you find yourself in near this place and you're looking for a true dive bar experience with great food, look no further than JACKALOPE'S NEIGHBOURHOOD DIVE. Walking into this place for the first time, you might think it's total chaos with people, music blaring and posters covering every inch of wall space. But spend some time here and you'll find it's actually a really welcoming, fun spot. What I love about this place is that they keep it simple - great beer, solid food and metal music, all done right. And not just one happy hour but two each night! The nachos, Coop of the dammed sampler plate and slow cooked meats are standouts on the menu. It's pub fare but done with care and flavor, not your average greasy bar food.Even more impressive is their extensive gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. It's not often you find a place like this being so accommodating. As for the drinks, the selection is massive and they've got all the classics any hard rock fan could want.Between the cool vibe, tasty eats and constant metal soundtrack, is definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood. It may seem chaotic at first but spend some time soaking it all in - I guarantee it'll be an unforgettable experience. This is a true gem of a dive.Vegetarian options: Great limited vegan options.Kid-friendliness: If your kid like metal then yes!Wheelchair accessibility: Decent wheelchair accessDietary restrictions: Very accommodating

Sometimes you travel from Boston to Vancouver to go to a bar and it meets all expectations. The beef back might just be the greatest invention ever.

Jackelopes is the best bar around. The service is always great, the servers are so friendly and the food and music make it a gem in the neighbourhood.
