We tried the burgers at Jackson’s Resto Butcher and they were absolutely delicious — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Everything about the food was great!

The atmosphere is also a big plus. It’s in the heart of Kitsilano, with a really fun and vibrant vibe that makes the whole experience more enjoyable.

The only small feedback I’d share is about the service — while the staff were friendly, it would be helpful if the servers spoke a bit more clearly or slowly in English, just to make communication a bit easier.

Food was good! Got the pulled pork sandwich which was good but wish it came with bbq sauce to add more flavour to it, fries were crispy and seasoned well.

Came here because I came here last year in the summer and enjoyed the poutine & vibes a lot. Remembered the servers being really attentive and nice, and the food really decent as well as good portions for not too expensive from my photos. Came today and the server kind of just looked at us and told us to sit anywhere. She was nice but looked like she really didn’t want to bother serving us or help us. When I asked her for no bacon on my poutine, she came back and told us that bacon was incorporated into the gravy so that couldn’t be changed and I was fine with that. Except when I got my poutine, bacon bits were sprinkled on top —clearly not in the gravy. I sent it back and they remade it for me which was nice, but the poutine itself was just not great. Fries were okay but the gravy was very very grainy. Not as good as New York fries poutine.

My partner got the schnitzel burger/sandwich and he said it wasn’t as good as Wendy’s burgers even. The burger was very dry and the schnitzel was not a proper schnitzel at all —just a fried piece of chicken breast. Tasted like a breaded plain dry grilled chicken breast. Overall the place is okay, but there’s just so many better spots in kits.

My partner ordered the chicken schnitzel and kale salad which he really liked. I got the Cuban sandwich and fries i didn’t really like either, just a personal preference. Our server never checked up on us during the meal to refill water or see if we needed anything else. We sat outside on a picnic table which had bird shit on it , they could have tried to clean that off.

Firstly, a lot of paid and false reviews for this place. Its clearly evident many are lying about their bills. You can see what they had and its easily 30% morr (at least) than what they claimed to pay. Absolutely obscene prices for bang average food. There is literally no value here. It used to be half the price but then a lot of trust fund kids moved into the area.

Such a great bar resto butchers! The meat should be good, right? It exceeded expectations. So good I went back for more!
Smoked brisket has superb flavour and meltingly tender. And the St Louis ribs
were the best I've ever had, so meaty.
Friendly knowledgeable helpful service from Heidi especially and Will made the evening memorable. Thanks guys.

One of my go-to spots for a solid burger! The meat is always juicy and flavorful, and their iced tea is my favorite, refreshing without being overly sweet. I also like that they have outdoor seating, especially on a sunny day.

Aside from dining in, I regularly buy their beef and marinated chicken breast to cook at home, its always fresh and well-prepared.
Service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommend for both a casual meal and quality butcher products.

Got in quick, food came out fast, and the service was super friendly—always checked in on us. Local beer was tasty, and the vibe’s great for watching the game or grabbing a quick bite if you’re cruising around 4th. There’s also a butcher in the back I wanna check out next time—looks awesome. Definitely coming back.

It’s a cool vibe, and I could see it being a decent place to sit at the bar and have a burger while watching a game (even though they were playing a pga event from 2024 on the tv). However,
service was pretty slow and it didn’t seem busy. Then came the meal. We all got the Sunday roast, which wasn’t what I was expecting. Everything was pretty good except for the beef. The beef was cooked medium rare, which I like, but it was so tough. Not only was the beef super tough, the fat was way too chewy. It’s almost like it was cooked too fast. Sure, other things on the plate were good, but coming from a butcher shop, the beef should be spectacular. If you’re looking for a Sunday roast, this ain’t it. FWIW: I was told it was beef back by the server and the baron of beef by the kitchen, and it looked like Picanha with the way the fat cap was. Who knows.
