One of the oldest Chinese dim sum restaurants around. Iconic China town. First generation with updated decor. Nice. Neighbourhood is a bit rough. Quality of dishes is slightly above average. Dim sum all day. Will be back again one day.

Was so excited to get some famous Vancouver dim sum on my recent trip. The restaurant was cute and decently full.

We were offered a dish made special for Lunar New Year which we accepted. We were not told that it would cost extra. We were also not told that the condiments selection which included soy sauce and chili paste were extra. A pot of tea was extra. The tea I can forgive, because sometimes it’s free and sometimes it’s not.
What I can’t forgive is the rotten shrimp in the fried eggplant. What I can’t forgive was the very generic and mediocre quality of the food.

Was very disappointed. I won’t be in Vancouver again for a while, but when I am, I won’t be coming here or recommending this place.

Charging for soy sauce is a joke.

Came up from Seattle. Decent service, terrible location. China town in BC is absolutely gone down hill bc of the drug addicts.
Had taro balls, salted fish and chicken rice and shrimp with eggplant.. Asked for hot chili sauce she gave me the smallest serving possible and I had to ask for another, and she barely filled the tiny dish. Seating isn’t great for 2 people

We ordered congee on uber eats and it came as mostly water. This is just plain embarrassing to serve. Now we have to get a refund on uber, order elsewhere and delay dinner even later

The place has a very extensive menu and the portions are vast. We ordered wonton soup and sweet and sour pork. The soup can be improved. Perhaps the worst thing about the place is the atmosphere, since you can see that the furniture is old.

The crystal prawn was delicious. The shrimp and mushrooms were plump and juicy. The eggplant in shrimp paste was not bad either.
It’s a relatively expensive restaurant. The clientele were mostly well dressed.
It’s a place where you take your guests for dim sum.
Customer Service can be more refined and attentive as an improvement.

First of all, the portions are large and I think it would be good to go when you are hungry! The fried rice was delicious, but the dim sum wasn't very tasty. In terms of service, the staff wasn't particularly bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. There was something on the dishes, so I thought the cleanliness was a bit poor! It wasn't very good, nor was it very bad.

It is The in place for authentic Chinese cuisines.

Items are available in deep fried / pan fried varieties.

The menu is so heavily loaded that the customer is provided with a pencil, and is required to circle the food items ordered.

Located in China Town the place is must visit for Chinese food gourmet.

Vegetarian options: Has a variety of vegetarian options.

I rarely visit Chinatown, but today a friend insisted on treating me to dim sum here. I vaguely remember coming a few years ago, but the experience wasn’t particularly memorable. The place was packed with tourists. However, today, due to the heavy rain, the restaurant was almost empty, with just a few diners scattered around.
The decor has a traditional Chinese charm, with some beautiful Chinese paintings hanging on the walls. I tried a few classic dim sum dishes like shrimp dumplings and shrimp rice rolls, and my friend recommended the congee with dried bok choy and pork bones, along with the xiaolongbao. I usually don’t go for congee, but this one was thick, flavorful, and the dried bok choy paired perfectly with the savory pork bone broth.
Although xiaolongbao isn’t typically found on a dim sum menu, these were filled with a rich, delicious broth and had a delicate, thin skin that rivaled those from more renowned Shanghainese restaurants. Overall, today’s experience changed my opinion of this humble restaurant – it’s definitely worth a visit.
