We had read the reviews and decided to give it a go. There were three of us and the lady at the entrance said there would be a place after 10 minutes. For the next 30 minutes we watched as people usually groups of two were show to a table. The final straw was when a group of 4 who came in and were shown to a table. When asked the lady responded that it was hard to coordinate space for three people. But that’s their job! I can see why there are queues outside. Never going back and there are way better outlets in North Van like Catch 122.

The food was good but all of the tables were very close to each other and service was kinda average.

After entering the store, the clerk will ask if you want a drink. After ordering a drink, it will be served first. The menu is very rich and you can study it slowly. The portion of the meal is very large and very filling. The sauce is very thick and will feel a bit greasy after eating. People with small appetites can just order half.

Had an amazing brunch at Jam Cafe! Tried the Fried Chicken Benny and Blackstone Benedict – both were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the flavors were incredible. Easily the best Benedicts I’ve ever had. The queue was a bit long, so make sure to plan ahead. Highly recommend this spot for a fantastic breakfast experience!

I waited an hour for brunch at Jam Café, but honestly, it wasn’t worth the wait. The dishes were pretty standard—nothing you couldn’t find at any other brunch spot. Save your time and try somewhere else.

They have you in and out way faster than before. Therefore the precooked hash brown wasn't hot.

Exceptional food let down by the service.

Our last brunch in Vancouver before heading home to the UK.

We had to wait for about 20 minutes which I think is fairly standard and on the whole acceptable for this wonderful small chain of eateries - have been before in Victoria and the newest addition in Kits - both phenomenal ?

During our wait we were told that the table by the window would be free soon and my mother mentioned to the server that it would be great to have that naturally lit position on our last day to watch and enjoy the city fly by without feeling overwhelmed within the crowded restaurant. We were excited for a wonderful view and a wonderful last meal ?

However, when we were led in, the server had instead made up a table squashed at the back by the bar area and when politely quizzed on why the change of heart, she coldly said that that table was reserved for larger groups - the people leaving the window table were a 3 and those that came in after were a couple - we were a group of 4...

... This change affected us, particularly my mother who's change in mental wellbeing was apparent ?

Throughout the service we felt that the servers attitude towards us was offish and this was further displaced due to the couple on the adjacent table constantly complaining about the state of their food. This included a meal replacement which they were still not satisfied with.

That aside, we ordered 2 sweet and 2 savoury dishes which we shared between us. The food here is above par and relitivley good value for both the quality and quantity of food given.

We had the Waffle Board with cinnamon apples, the Fat Elvis Waffle, Salmon Avacado Egg Benny and buffalo chicken egg Benny (forgot actual name) - honestly they were all SOOOO GOOD!! ?

I travel to Vancouver annually and will definitely come back to the Jam Cafe, but I will probs swerve on going back to the one in downtown due to the service and false promises.

Parking: Cheapest one block away at inpark beneath the T&T Asian supermarket. Lots of stairs to climb, but worth it for good value.

“The food at this brunch spot is excellent, both in presentation and taste. The only downside is the long wait time. If you arrive after 9 a.m., you’ll usually find a line, and sometimes the wait can be quite long. They don’t take reservations either, so be prepared to queue up if you plan to visit.”

Their Fried Chicken French Toast is one of those foods everyone has to try at least once in their life. One of the best brunch dishes I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The maple BBQ sauce pairs perfectly with the French toast and chicken.

It's huge and can definitely feed 2 people. It comes with 4 fluffy brioche French toast slices and 2 crispy fried chicken pieces.

The wait on a Saturday morning was about 20 minutes at 8am

Came here on my first visit to Vancouver back in 2021, came back again in 2024 in my second visit and it was lovely. The atmosphere is nice, service is fast and nice.

The caramelised apples are a must.

Terrific breakfast place! Had tofu balls bowl, so flavorful! Loved it! Even their “basic” coffee was strong and rich, will definitely go back! They also go the extra mile to lower single serve items such as milk, cream, ketchup and hot sauce!
