Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. I had the pork tonkotsu black... Delicious. Reasonable prices. A nice dinner.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times and usually enjoy the experience, but today left me very disappointed. I always order the same thing — a virgin J.Girl with light ice — and in the past it’s always been served as a full drink. Today, however, I was given only half a glass and told it was because I asked for light ice. Nowhere on the menu does it say that requesting light ice means you receive less of the actual drink, and it has never been an issue before.

When I asked about it a second time, the staff topped it up with plain, flavourless soda water and still didn’t fill the glass to the top. That doesn’t feel like a fix — it’s more like being brushed off, and it completely changes the drink I paid for.

For a $10 beverage, I expect consistency, professionalism, and a full serving regardless of the amount of ice. The way it was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially as a returning customer who has ordered this many times without a problem. Small details like this make a big difference in how a guest feels about their experience, and unfortunately, this left a very negative impression.

[Online order] Came a bit cold. I ordered the chicken ramen, I found the broth to be a bit bland and lacks flavor. The chicken was very tender, and the noodles were good! Maybe I will try the spicy broth next time 😋

We went here on a cold rainy day and it was perfect! The ramen hit the spot, and definitely make it a combo (salad + appetizer). The fried chicken thighs were amazing, and the salad dressing was delicious. We had not eaten at a ramen bar before, and our waiter was very helpful. He talked through the menu with us and gave us fantastic recommendations. We thought it was reasonably priced being in downtown Vancouver. We were seated at a counter facing the street, so there was limited space between us and the other diners. Afterwards, we realized this was a chain/franchise. We would definitely eat at another JINYA again.

Such delicious ramen! The broth was so flavourful and the noodles were perfectly chewy! Best jammy egg i’ve had and the pork was great! Also get the lychee mimosa!

First time having ramen and I’m so glad it was from here. It was INCREDIBLE. We stopped in for a quick lunch, sat at the bar, had great fast service. You could definitely spend a lot of time there with their extensive cocktail menu and appetisers, but if you want a quick lunch or dinner it’s good for that too.
We sat at the bar which was a lovely spot to sit and people watch. Would recommend!

Great food, fun lively atmosphere! We went on a busy Friday night - bit of a wait for a table but not long by any means. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food. We will be back!

Busy place. We got here at 530 and wanted a table for 5 people. Had to wait until 7 which was fine since there’s a nice park nearby for the kids to play.

Booth seating was nice and felt comfortable.

There’s a kids meal which has chicken and ramen. It’s a good deal but the chashu bowl was a downgrade from the normal order in terms of quality.

The combo is a good deal. $9 extra for a chashu bowl and salad.

Ramen is very thick. A layer of fat on top probably 3-4mm thick. Depends if you like that. Felt like eating a tsukemen.

Fried chicken is nice. Would get this again.
