Nice place. Great hot chocolate.
I love the simple, nice vibe in this coffee shop. I ordered cappuccino for takeout, and it was good.
I’ve gone here two days in a row and I love JJ Bean. But this location the employees don’t acknowledge you with a smile, or say thank you. Basic customer service skills are needed here. Also, I get an iced latte with honey and always ask for it to be mixed in with the espresso to make sure the honey doesn’t clump at the bottom of the cold milk. Twice in a row they continue to give me an iced latte with a whole lot of honey stuck to the bottom. This is not hard to do as I use to work at JJ myself. (Finance district)
all in all, my experience at this location was not good.
Pictured is all the honey clumped at the bottom. Asked the guy to remake or help fix it. He told me to mix it myself. Very disappointing experience again.
A favourite hang out and meet-up spot on Cambie. In the summer they have their doors open and let the music in. Coffee is always amazing. They care so much about coffee that even their decaf tastes good! They recently started selling doughnuts as well.
I don't know what JJ Bean is doing, but they consistently make some of the worst coffee I've had from a cafe. I've never had a good coffee from them, it's either horribly bitter, or watery, or even worse... Both.
The location is nice, and staff are friendly, but the food and drink is dreadful. What's the point?
Great place to meet people and work . The mocha was tooo sweet .
Although this coffee shop is a bit simple, it really has a nice vibe. I absolutely love the wide selection of vegan options (muffins!!) and the drinks are very nice. We ordered London fog with soy and hot chocolate with oat milk and both were totally delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming. Definitely would return.
Breakfast burritos used to cost under $8. As of today the same burrito is $14. Save your money and just get the coffee/muffin. Burritos are rip off.
Such sour faces behind the counter!! Staff seem miserable.
Yesterday afternoon (6 Jan/25) I had an excellent muffin as usual, but my latte tasted burnt, a la Starbucks. Earlier same day I had a latte at Bean Around the World at VGH and it was actually better, not consistent with my previous experience

Prices went up so they're pocketing from the tax break.
Always great.
Great coffee but the baristas need to get off their phones and smile. With a crappy attitude like hers I wont likely be back
I ordered 8oz coffee in a 12oz cup and was handed a half full 12oz cup after paying $3.66 including tip.
I humbly inquire; is this actually 8oz worth of coffee?
While looking annoyed with me the person at the counter grabbed an 8oz cup, flled it to the brim, and poured it into the 12oz cup.
The result was much different than previously. Was basically 85% full.
I simply said thanks and removed myself, but the reaction or lack of one resembling anything remotely close to thanking me for my time and effort was missing.
Now, sipping the $3.66 regualr coffee outside, I'm asking myself what have I done other than to order a drink and pay for it with tip that I should be subjected to such a poor experience. Adding to this, the coffee is too strong and tastes horrible.

I love JJ Bean but they must do better demand management as they are running out of food (muffins) far too early in the day. Come on guys get with it. Your lost sales must be enormous and I had to eat one of the less popular muffins.
