Great Coffee !!! friendly service staff. I always get the chocolate zucchini muffins.

They're very expensive drinks, yet they're not very good. The coffee is surprisingly mediocre and the chai is something you could make at home, but it's $7 to $8 for a tiny cup. There are so many cafes in Vancouver that are much better.

One of my go-to coffee spots when I need something fast, fresh, and reliable. JJ Bean at 1st Ave delivers exactly what you expect — no nonsense, just really solid coffee.

The Americano is always rich and smooth, and their baked goods are way better than most chain cafes. The almond croissant and banana bread? Total winners.

The vibe is clean, bright, and perfect for a quick coffee break. No Wi-Fi means it’s actually peaceful — a rare thing these days. Staff are friendly, efficient, and remember regulars by name.

Great prices, strong coffee, and local charm. Nothing fancy, but that's what makes it perfect. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a real Vancouver-style coffee experience without the hipster fuss.

The Boston cream doughnut was a bit dry, but the razzle dazzle doughnut was great! I’ve never had something quite like it and would definitely go back for another :)

A good place to work or study, not so many outlets are available though. The staff are nice and they don’t rush you to leave. Some good wrap options.
One thing I’d change is the cold breeze that comes from their ventilation and sometimes makes it unbearable to stay.

I had the most pleasant experience at JJ bean. Ethan was extremely friendly and helpful as I’m visiting from out of town not only did he make the best coffee- he pointed me in the direction of things to do in the city.
His kindness went a long way and I ended up having the best day thanks to Ethan! Best coffee ever aswell.
Please stop in this location and say a friendly hello to Ethan and the other staff.
Btw the breakfast bagel was to die for.

Just for a simple large coffee… and it asks for a tip on top. Shame.

Consistently good and very friendly service. Lots of seating options - couches, counter and low tops. The coffee is excellent. Pastries and sandwiches are delicious and fresh.
Nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee or take it to go while strolling the sea wall.
They recently added donuts which are dangerously delicious!

This would be my favorite coffeeshop in Olympic Village, except for how freezing cold it is at all times of year. No matter where I sit (couches, tables, etc), I always feel like I’m sitting directly under a fan or AC unit. Even in the dead of winter. I often have to bring multiple layers just to work comfortably then end up giving up and going home. If this issue was fixed, I’d be here working every day. Otherwise, I really like the coffee and the food is pretty good too.

Had a Cajun Chicken Sandwich and a Mocha. Kept it away for a while and it went cold, upon asking to reheat Jera offered me to make a new one. Amazing Service along with the mocha :D Thanks a lot Jera!

Just left this location (23/09/24 @ 6:20pm) where i ordered a 16 oz mocha to go.This (caucasian/white) brunette woman wearing a black fleece half-zip jacket didn’t even acknowledge me when i went up to the register, just pursed her lips like i was an inconvenience.. i told her the order, it was literally one item. All i asked was to get whipped cream on top. Well the (not the same woman) barista makes it without the whipped cream & when i tell her about it, she rectifies the error but now the drink is overflowing & its messy. I love JJ Bean & come to this location regularly but paying $7 for a cup of coffee is made all the more worse when staff are dismissive & rude, especially to the point of messing up the drinks. Ruins the experience.
