I ordered one butter croissant and a medium cup of cappuccinom. The taste is not bad,but the staff provided a smaller croissant than one that showed in the display cabinet. Because I hurried up to go other place, I forgot to take a picture.

Ordered a hot chocolate and matcha and they both practically just tasted like milk. Baristas were very nice though.

JJ bean is great for students needing a coffee and affordable snack. But they really need to learn to up their pars on the most popular items. It's a campus with construction crew everywhere and I often find they are out of the best muffins for example. Any other cafe would make more and set it up for times they are busy (lunch hour/4:00) but not this place. Often sold out of the best buy 11:15. Please consider this and upping your pars- esp on the jalapeno cheddar muffin!

Seems like a good place, all I can really comment on is the banana bread which was terrible.
The croissant was fine, I'm sure the drinks are good too so give it a fair rating. Just avoid the banana bread

Food and service is good; I'd come for that often. But, the seating, however, is very uncomfortable. Upstairs: all chairs, sofas and other sitting surfaces are hard and very right angled at the back -- which is not particularly comfortable to sit and work from. None of the tables are at a good height respective of the seat. The shop should throw in some cushions on the seats to make the space actually cozy and comfortable.

Bought a 20oz cold brew this afternoon for under $5, takeout.
The donuts looked pretty fancy, and I’ll have to come back for one next time.
Service was good, quick, no problems.
They have bar seating downstairs with enough room to work on a laptop. Upstairs seating and more isolated into individual pairs or quads of seats, some very dark (almost pitch black like coders’ cubicles). Could be alright to work in, if you needed, but most of the table heights aren’t particularly suited to laptop work.

Real coffee, lovely given Canada's weird distaste for nice coffee. Nice biscuits and granola too.

I'm a big fan of JJ Bean as long as I can find a seat. Coffee and pastries have been consistently good for years. If I were to criticize anything it is that they don't seem able or willing to stay on top of cleaning and general wear and tear. That's a generalization and might apply to some locations more than others.
