been a big fan of jj bean for a while now and have visited (almost) all of their locations. I had their frittata breakfast sandwich the other day and it was so well made-- the egg patty was thick and juicy, it had a substantial amount of spinach and tomato, and overall I could just sense it was made with love and care. It felt like a different sandwich altogether compared to the same item I've tried across other locations. it was also perfectly toasted. keep up the great work 🫶
Absolutely the best sandwich out of all the locations. Grill marks without having to crush the sandwich, and the bread was still moist and soft. Feels like it's made by people that would actually eat the food.

Love this JJ Bean! The crew is always super friendly. Cold brew, cappuccino, flat white: all on point. And that salted caramel cookie… my guilty pleasure every time, haha. Place is always clean. If I’m biking around UBC, I gotta stop here for a coffee.

Plenty of seats! There are more seats upstairs :) great place to hang and work! super friendly people working here! We tried their mocha and chai! The chai is a bit sweet for me, but love the mocha!!
Excellent coffee shop (good foam on the cappuccino!) with great university-coffee-shop atmosphere. Some outside seating as well as a few nooks upstairs for a chat or a place to sit and work on the computer while having a coffee break.

Had the cortado. It was excellent. Good taste.
Although, tables a bit sticky.

Very cute coffee shop on UBC campus. I was so surprised by all of the different bakery items they had (jalapeño cheddar muffin?!?! I’ve never heard anything like that before!). I ordered a raspberry oatmeal muffin and an iced latte. Coffee and muffin were great, staff were patient and friendly, and the coffee shop was very clean.
The iced matcha latte is so refreshing!
They're always out of most things. The staff are pretty rude and the coffee's usually burnt tasting and their small chai was 7.00, which is crazy.
Every time I come in, whether it's in the morning of afternoon, they're out of several things. It's kind of pointless going now, because they're out of sandwiches, cookies, donuts, etc. It's expensive for a sandwich -- $12-$13 and they've shrunk recently. The coffee is just okay, which is weird considering they've been around so long. Also, the customer service is frustrating. Not sure what's going on there, but I keep getting people who either don't know what's going on or people who are really rude. Anyway, I'd just avoid it and go to a cafe across the street instead.
Delicious baking and beverages. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere with unique sitting upstairs. I visit every time I am in the area.
