Such a fun experience to try fine dining! It was nice to see the young chefs put in so much thought and effort into each dish. Definitely would go again and recommend anyone to try it!
We were very happy and impressed with the hospitality, service, and quality of food. The taste and presentation were superb for both dishes we ordered (beef and duck). The portions may be on the smaller size for some, but perfect for us; in fact, we didn't have room for most of the delicious breads offered, or desert. The dishes were rich and packed with flavour. We came for a weekday casual lunch, but this gem of a place would be highly suitable for special occasions. Kudos to VCC instructors and students in the program! Highly recommended!
Excellent meal with beautiful presentation. Hard to get reservations but would love to go back.
Master Chefs oversee students who are learning the fine art of hospitality service. While the students have much to learn, few lack enthusiasm. It's a great experience all round with tasty dishes presented so well. Don't be in rush though.
Great opportunity to support students in the food programs at VCC and to have a nice meal at the same time.
Really nice experience, the food was excellent. The students were very sweet, I felt they were a tad nervous while explaining the dishes, but provided great service. They made me feel welcome as a solo patron. A lovely experience that I would repeat.

Dinner at Chefs Table VCC was the best fine dining experience. The food, service, ambience were excellent. The students who cooked, prepared, and served our food were well trained, Christina the IA, and Chef Hamid made the evening very special.
Excellent food, great presentation, service slipped twice - mostly due to language. If you haven't been to JJ's you miss great food best price in Vancouver. Tourist who ate in restaurants 35 times.
The food was spectacular in flavour and presentation and the service from the students was attentive. A great experience I'd recommend to anyone for a delicious, leisurely lunch in the heart of downtown Vancouver!
Keeping in mind that this restaurant employs students. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, but please give them time to do things well. There could have been a better coordinated team approach as information communicated to one server was not necessarily passed on to the others on the team. As always, we appreciate the efforts of the students, some of which are also learning English. Very good value all together.

Have been returning to this oasis in the city for many years. Was great to see Instructor Paul who we have known since his Chef role in other parts of the program. Family of four celebrated anniversary and two birthdays in one shot. Fine, fine food and always with some new and interesting surprises. Students were excellent and energetic.
The services and food presentation and taste are excellent. We had a wonderful and an enjoyable evening.
Stumbled across it in a google search. Thought I'd try it out. Was awesome. Quality was top notch and what a bargain! Was there for a business lunch and will certainly be going back!
Fantastic dinner!!! We will definitely return! A amazing meal with very affordable prices. Loved it!!!!!
A Memorable Culinary Journey with Chef Hamid and His Students Don't miss the opportunity to experience this thoughtfully curated dinner led by award-winning instructor Chef Hamid Salimian and his talented culinary students. Every course reflects a harmonious blend of creativity, precision, and respect for the ingredients. The menu, presented in a sleek and modern minimalist format, belies the depth and complexity found in each dish. What arrives at the table is not just food, but a vivid expression of seasonal flavors, playful textures, and indigenous ingredients—each plate a carefully composed portrait. Among the evening's highlights, the sturgeon starter stood out for me: a delicate balance of bright acidity, elegant presentation, and a clean yet lingering finish that set the tone for what followed. This dinner is more than a meal—it's a celebration of emerging talent and culinary artistry. Secure your seat before it becomes the city's best-kept secret. Highly recommend wine pairing with the meal!
