I recently visited The Basic on Main Street in Vancouver with my best friend and my two kids, and we had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and gives off a really wholesome family vibe — perfect for a relaxed meal out. I ordered the veggie hash, which was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The kids loved their pancakes, and my daughter was thrilled with her hot chocolate topped with whipped cream (a big hit!). Our server, Jesse, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome throughout the meal.
Overall, great food, great service, and great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

Crap I only got a picture after the food was gone because it was so good…..I accidentally found this place when seeing someone taking a picture of the food on the patio which ended up being the waitress. Very humble appearance with overwhelming food quality and service. You feel like you are at home, but your mom became a more amazing cook than she already was haha. Delicious food, friendly atmosphere and great value. Couldn’t be happier finding this place and I will definitely be coming back all the time!

Went with my family to get brunch. I got the tofu scramble but I forgot to take a picture of it lol cause it looked good and I started eating it. It was really delicious. My sister enjoyed her eggs benedict. Her boyfriend enjoyed his omelet. My dad liked his egg breakfast. All in all a good place with breakfast items.
We sat on the patio and it wasn't busy. Our waitress was very nice!
