Been there several times and the food had always tasted awesome! I can’t think about one single dish I don’t like. Special recommendation on the 3in1 noodles, love the multi layer flavors.
Try to go a bit earlier cuz there might be a line up.

Great Xian food in Vancouver :) the hand pulled noodles, dumplings, and chicken with chili oil sauce was so delicious. The noodles have a satisfyingly chewy texture and the dumplings were filled generously! The chili oil they have at the table is also delicious. Not much seating inside and inside is not the cleanest.

The food was actually quite delicious. It was not only some of the best Xi'an food I've ever had, but one of the best meals I've ever had period. In the middle of the meal, I texted my family telling them we had to come here in the future together. I also made plans to come back later this very week.
Unfortunately, the server (and owner?) complained that the tip I gave was too small. I find this to be completely unacceptable, given that tips are a bonus rather than something expected (especially in Canada where servers make minimum wage). It is a server’s job to serve customers and it is exceedingly entitled to complain. Any amount should be appreciated and I was shocked at being accosted for not giving what they considered to be an acceptable amount. I will not be returning which is a shame because as I said, the food is really quite good. However, I cannot support such an establishment. The owner should consider whether it is worth losing business from harassing customers about a tip. I would’ve been happy to return dozens of times with numerous people otherwise.

Recommended dishes: Lamb Green Pepper Burger, Cucumber Salad, Biang Biang Noodles with Meat Sauce in Chilli Oil
Tried out Joojak recently and ordered 3 dishes: the steamed chicken in chili oil, the hand-pulled spinach noodles with pork and chili oil, and xi an lamb burger.
The steamed chicken was served cold, which was a bit unexpected. Not really my thing, but the chili oil was flavorful and the chicken was tender. Just not something I’d personally order again.
The hand-pulled spinach noodles were the highlight. The noodles were wideee and super chewy, very satisfying texture-wise. Didn’t really taste the “spinach,” but the pork was nicely seasoned (not too salty) and the chili oil tied it all together.
As for the Xi’an lamb burger, it sounded promising but didn’t quite hit the mark. The meat was a bit dry and the flavors didn’t stand out much.
Overall, not everything impressed me, but the noodles alone make it worth a visit.

First time here, as we were craving some Northern Chinese food. Food was excellent quality. The service was great - the server had a huge smile on her face the whole time.
I would recommend getting biang biang noodles and the pork and chives pan fried dumplings. Very authentic. Will definitely come back to try the cold noodles. This is a wonderful hidden local gem that we should support!

This is one of my favorite places for Xi’an-style cold noodles — the flavors are authentic and refreshing. The mouthwatering marinated chicken is also well-marinated and delicious, and the oil-splashed noodles are chewy and full of flavor. Just keep in mind that they don’t accept credit cards, and debit cards can only be used for purchases over $25.
