What a find! The wood-fired burger is amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and everything tastes fresh. JOSS is definitely one of my favorite spots in Vancouver!

The best restaurant I’ve experienced in Vancouver.
We had the wood fired oven raclette pizza, mushroom pizza, and the salami pizza, All were absolutely outstanding. The burgers and the meatballs are incredible, full of flavour and very top quality.
We love JOSS restaurant and are looking forward to our next visit. It is very European restaurant with excellent imported draft beer and a well thought out wine list. Music was excellent too !

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, and finally went in after noticing it was often closed. I brought my senior chihuahua in a stroller, planning to sit on the patio. When I entered to ask about seating, I was immediately and rudely told by the owner that dogs were not allowed inside — which of course most dog owners already know.
Once seated outside, I briefly placed my 5-pound chihuahua on my lap while adjusting the stroller. The owner saw this and reacted very harshly, insisting that my dog could not be anywhere near the furniture. I respectfully placed him back in the stroller.
Later, when he brought water to the table, I reached to pour some into a small foam dish for my dog. Instead of simply allowing me to do this, the owner rudely refused to let go of the glass, insisting he didn’t want it near my dog, then overfilled the dish himself to the point of almost spilling on both me and my dog. His attitude and demeanor throughout the visit were unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming.
I didn’t even finish my drink — I paid and left, never to return. If he is so against dogs, he should simply not allow them on the patio at all. The way I was treated was awful and completely unnecessary.

All around bad, it was a saga. Took over 2 hour to get our food, we were questioned about what we thought we order, then we we’re told the pizza was going to be comped and it wasn’t. The only upside was it took so long that we had plenty to drink, and still the pizza didn’t taste all that good.

Robert has made the perfect little spot - unique draught beer selection, carefully chosen wine list, and fresh food from the woodfire. Such a treat, and can't wait to go back.

The only good patio in Coal Harbour serving our favourite burger in town. Not over sauced like most burgers in this city. Coupled with one of the best euro beer selections.

We enjoyed it so much the first night, we went back two more times! The owner Robert was very personable. The food (two times pizza plus Ahi tuna and sirloin meatballs and dessert) was awesome and the German beer selection (we chose Munich Gold) was fabulous. We were twice inside and once outside on the patio. It’s a great location and nice ambiance. Wood fired oven added nice flavour and the pizza can be done quickly. Joss is a relatively small, interesting and unique restaurant and bar that seemed to really appeal to us. Robert and his staff made it extra special with attentive and friendly engagement despite being busy looking after everybody. We felt like regulars after the first night and then became regulars for our stay in Vancouver!

Not the best customer service. Super slow and bad communication, the waiter just charged us without giving us the bill first and I had to ask for it. Is too bad they have such poor customer service and such good food.

It's hard to mess up a pizza, but somehow this place made one worse than frozen pizza, and managed to charge over 30 dollars for it. Don't waste your money.
