Rude host
Their service is excellent, and dished like truffle egg and scallops were amazing. But the strak didn't taste as good as it looked, especially the sauce. Still wonderful place with great food and service.

Heard of June through social media for a long time and it was very hard to reserve an appointment online as it was fully booked.
My Rating : 6.5/10
The host, Alahanda, was very rude to us, from the moment we walked in to the very last min of our reservation.
Our server, Natalie, was very nice and attentive. As mentioned in other reviewers’ review, our cup of water always full.
The cocktail is 7/10. I would say June could do a better job at making their drinks look more cool / special. By the price of their cocktails, I would expect more from the cup design itself to be more fun comparing to the glasses of our drinks tonight, which is a water cup in other restaurants.
The dishes of the food is not consistent, some dishes of our food is a regular, plain white dish without “June” Logo as other dishes.
The best food we had tonight was the Chocolate Dessert. I like the crisp on the side of the dessert. Quite tasty.
I personally think June could do better on their services, food, and drinks wise, and consistent.

June was amazing! Food was top notch. Drinks were beautifully crafted and wonderful. The service on point! The Maître D, Lucius, made a table happen last minute! Super grateful for that. Looking forward to another fun night at June!

I recently had dinner at June on Cambie, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. The food here stands out for its inventive approach that builds on classic French cuisine, blending traditional techniques with fresh, creative twists. Each dish felt thoughtfully composed, with layers of flavor that showed real attention to detail.
One of the highlights for me was the pasta, clearly influenced by French richness rather than typical Italian simplicity. The sauce was deep, buttery, and intense, with a texture that clung beautifully to the noodles. It’s not the light, olive-oil based kind of pasta you’d find in a trattoria; rather, it had a rich and creamy profile that leaned closer to a refined Parisian kitchen. Personally, I usually prefer a cleaner, more Italian-style flavor, something brighter and lighter but I can absolutely appreciate the craftsmanship here. It’s a matter of personal taste, and I imagine many diners would find this style incredibly satisfying.
Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance struck a warm yet sophisticated tone, making it a great spot for both date nights and gatherings with friends who enjoy good food.

It was my first time at June and because it’s a restaurant is in my neighbourhood I was excited to finally try it!
It started with a line up at the door that moved slowly, a unfriendly person who was confused by our reservation and followed by being seated at the bar where we had to take our wet umbrella along (they do have a plastic bag thing to wrap you’re umbrella….but we’re in Vancouver so get a couple umbrella stands!).
The ambiance was nice, bar beautifully done but the room was extremely cold. When you’re in a dark and moody space you would think the temperature in the room would be set to make the space cozy.
The wait staff seemed a bit pretentious. They weren’t overly chatty or friendly considering we were sitting at the bar. And they didn’t seem to have common sense to leave a couple menus for drinks or food while we were visiting and slowly they ordering things. It didn’t bother me too much but just some thing I noticed.
The food and cocktails were fine but not anything out of the ordinary when we live in Vancouver with a ton of amazing options. Things were presented beautifully but nothing really stood out to me as being fantastic. We ordered two cocktails and shared 3 plates with a bill coming to a little over $200.
I really wanted to love this place but overall I found it a bit pretentious with over priced food and cocktails. Given my experience last night and my first impression of the place, I’ll take my $200 elsewhere.

Delicious food and great cocktails
This might just be my new favourite spot! Loved everything—the food, the vibe, and the exceptional service. The pasta and oysters were standouts, and I’d definitely go back to try more from the menu.

Personally found the food to be underwhelming (had high expectations based on all the recent social media posts). Of all the dishes we ordered, the fries and the chocolate mousse dessert were probably the best.
