About 10 to 15 years ago, this used to be a reasonably priced and delicious sushi restaurant that often had lines out the door. However, when I ordered a tuna avocado roll this time, the tuna tasted old and had a strong fishy smell, making it inedible. I told the server, but the chef refused to acknowledge the issue, and there was no apology whatsoever. Upon asking further, I found out that the owner had changed, along with the chef. That explains a lot. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

REALLY disappointing to see this place go downhill. They use to be open later and have since cut back hours…can’t fault them since it’s hard to staff a place late. But what’s a real bummer is the over all service.

We’ve been ordering from this place for years. It’s in the neighborhood, consistently good and priced well. But I just can’t excuse the abysmal customer service we’ve received on our last few orders.

We’ve ordered to go and not had orders printed, then arrive to pickup and nothing was made and order lost. Have had our hot food ready but not cold…and then be told it’s another 20-30 for cold. So ask to have hot remade so we can eat it together but that was t an option. Have watched tables go inclined and unserved for far too long.

I really want to enjoy this place but the slow decline just isn’t worth the hassle.

our waiter was funny and kind, noticing our kpop photocards as we took pictures of our food.
the sushi was great and fresh, consistent, and it was nice to finally have tuna sashimi that wasnt half frozen (a common occurrence when i go to have sushi).
the takoyaki was also very well made with a perfectly soft inside, and the sauce was tasty.

i will come again, im glad that i came on impulse, ill remember my time here! thank you!

My work is near by this place so I’ve been a regular for lunch here for a while. My coworkers and my favourite place… up until recently… what happened Kadoya? Your rolls look different, the quality of nigiri/sashimi dropped… i understand it’s different sushi chefs working different days, but you have to make sure the food is presented in a consistent manner. For example, salmon nigiri, the thickness of the fish was very uneven, and one part of the piece is SO THIN i can see through it (you can see it in the photo: left side is noticeably white). Literally a paper thin fish.. what am i paying for? A ball of rice? Second example, the kappa roll. Cant you guys be on the same page and cut the cucumbers the same way? One day they are a big chunk (like in the photo), and some days theyre chopped thinly, which is actually what I prefer and the sole reason why I kept re-ordering kappa rolls from here. Well not sure if i will be anymore. Last thing i want is to get different looking food and be disappointed. Textures matter! And ofcourse this isnt the first time this has happened, so I feel content writing a review about it at this point. Although staff here is always hard working and friendly, they can only do so much if the food isnt serving… i will still come here time to time as it is so close to my work. But no longer my go-to nor a spot i would recommend to my coworkers anymore.

I’ve been coming to this sushi spot for over 14 years, and it’s still my go-to. If you’re looking for glitz and glamour, this isn’t the place—but if you’re after consistently excellent sushi, warm and friendly service, and a place that feels like a second home, you’ve found it.

Food was cheap and good. A bit pricey but the service was terrible. The waiter did not speak and greet us. They expect a high tip but not worth it. Walk down the block for something better.

The sushi was very delicious, we ordered the option of 52 portions, all very delicious, they have a baby chair, it has an option of chicken, rice and vegetables, perfect for people who don't eat sushi but enjoy the place

Food was very carefully presented and very fresh. Fresh rice on the rolls, and an amazing crunch on the gyoza. We ordered the agedashi tofu, teriyaki bento box, spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll, as well as the deep fried California roll. All incredible. Would definitely return.
