Stopped by and had the chicken rice bowl as well as the Sparerib and black bean rice bowl-the food was below average. Do not recommend.. lots of greasy fat on the spare ribs as well as uncooked chicken skin on the chicken.. served with a big clump of sticky rice and very an eager soy sauce offering.
Amazing dim sum and great price too. I’ve tried a bunch of different dim sum but always come back to kam wai. I recommend the bbq pork buns and the sesame balls. Love this place
Highly recommend the BBQ pork bun
We had wonton soup, bao, and dumplings here. Baos were HUGE in size and to be honest on the dryer side. There was a person going through the trash can and eating from it during our meal and it definitely killed our appetite.
The prime suspects in a dim sum menu, done well for a good price!
Absolutely delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of the dim sum. From the pot stickers to the lotus wrap - yum, yum, yum!
Steam buns not close in taste and quality like New Town bakery. One thing that broke my heart is the front staff (female) says she speaks Cantonese when I asked. Then when a Chinese elderly comes to order, she doesn't speak it. Terrible and heartbreaking to see such mistreatment. Help the community and the eldery especially if you speak the language. People of color have been hit hard enough and you hurt your own kind.
Great value for good freshly made dimsum right in the back. A staple of chinatown.
A hidden gem! The service was super friendly, and the shrimp dim sum (Ha How) (only $5 for 4!) tasted incredibly authentic. You absolutely must try the Dai Bao (the king of steamed buns) – it's amazing. Highly recommended!
Great place to get cheap dim sum. It was actually really good!

Best dim sum place in Vancouver! Quick and kind service, delicious food, and immaculate vibes.
Amazing prices here!
I stopped by this place and ordered some dim sum to go. It’s partly my fault for not double-checking my order, but the cashier forgot to give me my dumplings. Ended up losing about $10. I came all the way from Surrey, so going back wasn’t an option. Pretty disappointed.
The dim sum quality wasn’t great either — the buns were just okay, but honestly better than the dim sum.
Welcoming for Chinese & non-Chinese speakers. A great place for a quick snack. So nice to see vegan options!
Shrimp dumplings and Shao Mai taste disgusting
