I ordered a Barg Kebab (steak kebab) and it was awful. The meat was so hard and I couldn't even cut it with knife. The color of the meat was not even natural. I do not suggest you to go this restaurant.

I ordered food from Khaghan on Denman St. for pickup, and when I got home, I was surprised!
I ordered Lamb Barg Soltani, but instead of Barg, I unfortunately received Chenjeh, which was chewy and not tender.
Even though the price was too high for this low-quality food!
When I called them immediately, they said, “This is our standard for the Lamb Barg Soltani & we delivered what you requested.”
I explained to them that the cutting of the Barg is totally different from the Chenjeh and is supposed to be flat, not a cube!!!
This conversation didn't go through, and instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, they said this is our standard.
Such excellent customer service!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to the owner!
Not as good as we thought, and we're really disappointed!
I’m not going to spend a penny at this restaurant anymore!
Now I can understand why this place was so quiet and had empty seats at this restaurant!
Don't recommend it!!!

They were not prepared at all. The menu didn’t match the actual food. We were eight separate individuals, but they automatically added a 20% service charge without informing us when we ordered.

My mom went to Khaghan downtown yesterday. She had the worst service possible. First of all, the washroom was disgustingly dirty. If you’re charging customers that much money, at least clean your washrooms. My mom told the server, she didn’t even say sorry or anything, and just nodded. Learn how to give service in this industry. It was also after they paid and tipped, so the server didn’t care anymore?!
Disgusting!

None of the items were fresh. The taste was good though.

We visited at noon when it wasn’t busy. The food was fine, but the service could be improved — the server seemed busy in the kitchen and didn’t offer any water throughout my meal.

I was sick yesterday and ordered soup from here, but they delivered a burnt and extremely greasy soup. They told us that it would take 15 minutes for a 5-minute soup. They probably wanted to mix the burnt soup with water to make it a little better. But someone who is sick and eats soup definitely doesn't want to eat greasy food, and I don't understand why a soup has to be so greasy.

We were seated right away. The menu was extensive, and I chose the Koobideh. We also ordered the lamb ribs. Within 15 minutes the food arrived, cooked to perfection.
The meat was tasty and succulent. The rice was not overcooked - just right.
A quick, enjoyable meal.

Food tastes normal nothing exceptional... a bit over pricey for the quality of taste and portion sizes.

By far the worst koobideh and barg kebab I’ve ever had, and at a premium price! Just look at that koobideh, it literally looks like a bicycle tire 😁. And the taste? Everything except beef!

A Must-Go place with high quality food and professional staff. Totally recommended.
Really good food, they should make more marketing! I didn't know this place but definitely I will coming back 🙂

I appreciate your response, but I must clarify a few points. I am not new to this country, and I have been to many Iranian restaurants across Canada and different cities. Until now, I have never left a negative review for any Iranian business — your restaurant was, unfortunately, my first negative experience.
The reason is very simple: the Ghormeh Sabzi did not taste like Ghormeh Sabzi at all, it was just a heap of herbs, and the koobideh lacked both quality and flavor. This has nothing to do with misunderstanding “English expressions” or being unfamiliar with the culture — it has to do with the food not meeting even a basic standard.
I respect hard work in the food industry, but as a paying customer, I also have the right to share my honest experience. Hopefully, you take this feedback seriously and work on improving, instead of dismissing customers with assumptions.
