Really enjoyed this place! Service staff is amazing! And super knowledgeable ajout the house products. Every time I made eye contact, they were at my table side!My server recommended the aburi tuna stack, which I ordered, as well as had the miso soup, ebi sunomono, a kappa roll, and spicy California roll...The tuna stack was to die for, and everything else was well prepared and executed perfectly.I was super impressed with the freshness of their products, the promptness of the wait times for each dish.I will definitely be back for the tuna stack and try more of the special rolls?!Thank you for the amazing service and the delicious food!

Ordered the maki tray. Very small portion of food (see picture). This would have been OK if the sushi was delicious but unfortunately the sushi ended up being tasteless and did not taste fresh. This place used to be so good and the restaurant packed with a lineup out front, but when I picked up my order at 12:30, there was nobody eating inside the restaurant. I wondered why and now I have my answer. Would not recommend. Complete waste of $50+ dollars.

I've been eating at Ki Isu for over 10 years. Has always been a great spot to have a quick lunch or dinner. The Oshi sushi here is sooo good. Try the Aburi tuna stack. My vegetarian better half craves the Avocado Oshi and wishes we lived next door.

Dietary restrictions: Has a lot of gluten free options. Although they advise of cross contamination, my celiac wife never had any issues eating there.

For a little tiny place that we almost walked past, I'm SO glad we came in! The food there is outstanding! The fish is fresh, and the negitoro roll is one of the best I've had in years! The service is amazing as well. Prices are not cheap, but so worth what you pay for! I'll definitely be back, thank you so much!! PS try their aburi bentos, you will not be disappointed!!

I recently dined here and it was an unexpected surprise! The presentation was on point, making everything look delicious. The bento box offered a nice variety, and they served quality sushi. They offered creative sushi rolls and we tried the one with mango and seared salmon. Quick service, good portion sizes for the price, and the sashimi and tempura were particularly delicious.

I met up with two friends here for lunch today. The friend who suggested this place has been here for twenty years and said the food quality remains constantly satisfactory.Standard Japanese food menu with Korean staff. My two friends each had sushi roll combo. The sushi rolls looked alright and my friends liked it. I had a beef udon which was slightly more flavourful and had more beef than average. I was satisfied with a hot udon soup on a rainy day.The bill was about $60 for three of us. It was slightly higher than other sushi places that I normally go. However, this is not bad for Yaletown.

Good value Japanese Food, with Korean (I believe) chef. Sashimi piece is thick and fresh. I enjoyed the smiles of the Tall Waitress.

Basically, they denied their mistake, were unapologetic and served stale food.Details: I ordered spicy chopped scallop roll and California roll. The scallop was pink instead of white for some pieces. (Please see picture). When I asked the staff, they said it’s because of the tobiko (fish roes). I told them there’s no way the scallop would be all pink because of the tobiko. The staff kept denying and repeating that it was because of the tobiko and it was not mixed well, hence the pink colour. But how come I had 3 pieces of rolls that were all white scallop and three that were all pink scallops???The chef stared at me in a not nice way when I was talking to the staff about it. They were also reluctant to cancel the order until I insisted. The California roll didn’t taste that fresh either, but still edible.Overall, this is one of the worst experiences and I was exposed to the risk of food poisoning
