I love their Pho. Decently priced, The meat is tender, the broth feels gentle on the palate yet has a rich umami taste. It isn't scalding hot either so the noodles aren't overcooked. The staff are nice and the place is clean.

We have ordered from here via door dash before and the chicken pho is ok as well as the salad roll with sausage. Came in today for a quick bite and found two sharp pieces of plastic in our soup. Mentioned it to the lady and she neither apologized or did anything, just quickly took the plastic away. Wouldn’t return or recommend based on this as well as the strong odour of something resembling hair perming solution emanating throughout the place as well as constant use of microwave that we heard. I’m glad I caught the pieces of plastic myself and it wasn’t my young daughter who swallowed it.

I've been coming here for about 10 years and I've never been disappointed. Their 3 meat on rice with an egg is my always go to dish but you can't go wrong with anything you order here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like family. It's a family run and owned business that serves up authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Must try place that is also on doordash.

Parking: there is a parking lot and direct access from the back as well as being surround by residential streets and Victoria. Sometimes you have you park a bit further into residential but the walk isn't that bad.

Kid-friendliness: friendly staff that can accommodate children.

Kim Phung is my favorite little Vietnamese restaurant in this neighborhood. Delicious food and very sweet family who runs it. They once overcharged me a little bit and I wasn’t gonna say anything cuz they deserve it but they brought it up next time I was in and honored the difference. 👌👌

I recently placed an order through DoorDash from Kim Phung, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to reconnect with this incredible restaurant after 8 years. Back in high school and my young adult years, this was my go-to spot for authentic Vietnamese food. Now, after more than two decades of serving the community, Kim Phung remains one of the true OGs of Vancouver’s Vietnamese food scene.

The moment I called to place my order, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and the friendly lady on the phone instantly remembered me when I introduced myself as the half-Vietnamese, half-German guy. Her excitement to hear from me was a testament to the genuine customer service that Kim Phung is known for. I asked about the Bun Bo Hue and whether it came with lots of meat, and she immediately assured me that she’d make it extra special for me. It felt like being treated like a VIP, just as I always was when I ate there in the past.

The food quality has been consistently excellent throughout the years, and I have no doubt it will be just as delicious as I remember. From their signature Bánh Bột Lọc Trần (tapioca dumplings with shrimp and minced pork wrapped in banana leaves) to the Bún Bò Huế (a rich and flavorful spicy beef noodle soup), every dish is a masterpiece. Their vermicelli dishes with shredded pork are a must-try, and don’t even get me started on their refreshing shakes — these are an absolute highlight.

Kim Phung isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a piece of Vancouver's culinary history. For anyone looking for authentic, tasty Vietnamese food with service that makes you feel like family, this place is a gem. Here's to many more years of great meals — I will definitely be back!

Very Casual but it’s The Best in Town!!!!! No joke! The Pho is Supreme, the Broth is Seriously Amaaaaazing! please Check them out!
Also, besides their Phô Broth is the best (All Homemade.. we see that in the kitchen) their Grilled Pork Skewers (best) beef & chicken is very very good too… their Grilled Pork Chops & Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken on Rice is Superb!
The Tapioca with dried shrimp & minced pork wrapped in Banana Leaves are sooooo good (we had them at many other Vietnamese restaurants & this is our favourite! Bon Appetite! ☺️😛

This small yet mighty restaurant yielded wonderful home cooked meals. The food was delicious and scrumptious. Both rice and pho were ordered and both were spot on. The rice dish was near perfect, the pie was a touch dry, but the meat was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Authentic Vietnamese experience. You get lime, not lemon...small Thai red chilies ?, not sliced jalapenos...free hot tea, iced if you want.
All sauces at the table:
-fish sauce
-soy sauce
-chili oil
-garlic chili sauce
-hoisin sauce
-sriracha hot sauce
The food was done very well...exactly what I would expect if I were in Vietnam. Portion sizes are adequate, and price is fair.
We ordered two vermicelli bowls:
#33 (Grilled chicken, pork chop, and BBQ minced pork)
#40 (Grilled pork & shrimp sugar cane)
... If you want a thick slice of pork, ask for the pork chop, otherwise the grilled pork is thinly sliced with crispy bits. Both are super tasty!
Don't expect perfection here, but due to the authenticity, I'm rating very high. This is a hidden gem ?.
