Food taste good, but nothing special. However, the portion sizes and value are not great compared to other Thai restaurants. I get it that they want to elevate the dining scene. It's so elevated that some of the food garnish is unnecessary (seriously, a stalk of garlic chives on top of my Pad Thai? What should we do with it? Bring it home and plant one myself? LOL). And we have to mix my Pad Thai by myself since they don't bother to mix the beansprouts. I guess that was the first time I got served Pad Thai with beansprouts on the side.Service was great and very prompt. However, do note that they will charge 20% auto-tip for a party of 5 or more. In my opinion, that is quite an exorbitant amount, and usually, other restaurants will implement auto-tip for a party of 6.I get that tipping culture is a norm here in Canada and I support it. However instead of having a sub-menu item on your UberEats menu to "Tip our own staff who work tirelessly for close to minimum wage", why don't you guys offer higher wages, especially when you charge $$$ for these amount of food that we are getting?Just my 2 cents.

This restaurant does not take reservations so we waited around 30-40min for a table. Absolutely worth the wait. So far the best Thai I have found in Vancouver. The restaurant was busy and buzzing with energy. The staff were accommodating, friendly and all around great. After a negative experience at their sister restaurant Song, this was a welcome change. We ordered pad see ew chicken, Tom yum, green curry tofu, sticky rice, and papaya salad. Rave reviews for the Tom yum. It is on the pricier side ($26) but the best Tom yum nam sai style I’ve had in Vancouver. The papaya salad was lacking a bit compared to others I’ve tried but that was the only dish we liked not loved. The tofu in the curry was crisp and juicy. The eggplant and bamboo in the curry were lovely as well. I thought the crispy onion garnish on the pad see ew was a tasty fun addition. Overall we thought the price and portions were reasonable and would absolutely recommend and revisit.

Hidden gem that I randomly stumbled across after going to the Bunny Cafe. I was very pleasantly surprised with the options. Perfect portion sizes and will definitely come back on a planned occasion in the future.

Kin Kao has such good food, the people working there are just rude- I tried to just order take out so I wouldn’t have to even think about the staff but even getting take out their just not friendly and they can’t make any modifications of the menu either which doesn’t always work for everyone. We asked for a side of choi as it is on the menu with pork belly at the moment and they said they couldn’t do it- which makes no sense honestly. Things like that just really make you think twice about ordering again.Vegetarian options: If you want to remove the meat from a dish they will charge you the same price as if the meat is inside it or say they cannot do it at all.

Very good small Thai restaurant. Everything we ate was delicious (papaya salad, pad thai, soft crab styr fry).I had high expectations for the mango sticky rice. It was good but not the best I ate.I still give 5 stars because it was still overall declicious.

If you want to experience the worst Thai food in Canada this is the place you want to eat. Ordered Thai green curry and bunch of food items with my colleagues . Unflavoured salty and sweet Thai curry also checked with one of my colleagues food said his pad Thai has a burnt flavour and salty. The food is also overpriced for this quality.Thai lady server who she this she owns this place is rude greedy and mannerless only asks tips to all team member and asking you have to tip minimum 10 dollars each for occupy this fastfood themed uncomfortable place . There are other options in Vancouver where they serve authentic Thai food.
Came here with my family of 10 last week, food was generic nothing really stood out. What was pissing was that the main lady/hostess/boss that was there kept reminding us we have only 1.5 hours to eat. We actually ordered alot of dishes and she tells us because we have a large party, We were charged 20% on tips. Never have I ever got charged that high amount before. Not to mentioned she kept reminding us to basically leave once the 1.5 hours time is up. She didn’t have to do that esp we ordered a substantial amount of food from our table…Bottom line is, it’s good to come here once just for the food but don’t expect to get a good service here esp with that main lady standing there trying to hustle and rush you out.

Over priced, below average food. The eggplant Thai basil stir fry tasted like a poorly executed eggplant dish at a Chinese restaurant. Too bad, used to be much better.

We chose this restaurant for a farewell party, where the owner served us. Initially, the glasses weren't properly cleaned, with dust particles in the water. Despite requesting a change, we were denied the glass were clean and we had to rinse them ourselves on our side plate. The pad Thai had burnt shrimps, soggy noodles in excess sauce, and the Yellow curry was undercooked. Despite tipping appropriately, one coworker was publicly called out for insufficient tipping, causing embarrassment. Despite being a longtime customer, this embarrassing encounter makes it difficult to recommend or continue supporting this restraunt.
