We went for the set menu and it was amazing for the price. Every dish was spectacular and really showcased what Thai food is all about.Only criticism I have is that the food could have come a little slower so we can enjoy our wine and order more wine with our food. A wine accompaniment would have been nice.Favourite dishes were the oysters, shrimp toast, slow cooked duck curry, Sebastian’s bok choy.Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs. 2x

We initially came to Song by Kin Kao by accident which was a terrible mistake. The host was pretentious and rude. We had no reservation so we were given an out by time which was reasonable however when we requested a larger table (the two person table was very small) the host said he could not accommodate because those tables were being held for reservations. I would have believed that had the majority of tables not been empty. When I explained we wanted a larger table because we were planning on ordering more food than the two person table could fit, I was told again the request could not be accommodated. I am editing this review to include this was a Tuesday early evening, the response I received below mentions Friday night, as a member of the restaurant industry I would not assume I could get seated immediately on a Friday night with no reservation. Upon first glance at the menu I realized we were at the wrong location. The menu was extremely small and the prices of certain items were outrageous ($50 for Tom yum!). We spoke to the server and realized our mistake and immediately left to visit Kin Kao on commercial. Our experience from the moment we walked in was beyond expectations and we enjoyed everything. I’d love to say I would let the food speak for itself at Song but our experience was so negative I cannot even bring myself to try again. Save your money and go to the original location.

Overall creative fusion Thai food. The Tom Yum was way too savory than what we could take and I’m pretty sure I have an average a taste of these dishes. The server tried to accommodate and adjust the dish but it didn’t work out. It might be the bad luck but be cautious when you order anything here. Good environment for a date.

The bartender was amazing but our server was just dull. She wanted to just take the order and get done with it. Felt extremely underwhelming for such a highly rated restaurant. Extremely disappointed!

Love this place! Absolutely I'm going to visit this restaurant again!! Everyone so kind and they showed a high level of understanding about the food, and their descriptions were clear.

From food to service to ambiance and everything in between, Song by Kin Kao takes Thai cuisine and elevates it to another level. While new experiences are discovered every time we visit, old staple favorites are refreshed with layers of surprising complexity. Must try if you've never been, must come back to explore even more.

Had the song set tasting menu and every dish presented was really excellent. The menu consists of fresh ingredients and tasty, fun renditions of Thai food. The service was also all round excellent, and their pad tai is a must have!!

The food is amazing! Highly recommend Shrimp Toast , Pomelo Salad and Duck Confit Curry but loved all the dishes we tried. Service is top notch. Seats at the bar; the bartender made amazing drinks and made our experience really fantastic. The crew and the chefs are the best.

The food was flavourful but the noodles in the pad Thai were overcooked. My partner enjoyed the beef short rib.Cocktails were tasty and ambiance was solid. Interactions with servers and bartenders were all positive.Unfortunately they brought my partners food 5-10 mins before mine which meant we ate separately instead of having his be cold.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated celiac well!

We did the six-course tasting menu (without the soup) and were very impressed. I'm not a big fan of raw oysters, but the Fanny Bay oyster amuse bouche was incredible - the oyster was the fattest, juiciest that I have ever tasted, as was the liquid that came with it. The pomelo salad was also amazing. We also loved the lemongrass chicken wings, the duck curry (which reminded us of the Bob Likes Thai Food location near Granville and Broadway that sadly closed - apparently one of their chefs is now a sous chef at Song!), and the mushroom stir fry. Service was attentive but friendly. We will definitely be back!
