High end Cantonese restaurant, during lunch time serves dim sum. The food was good, the waiters were efficient, the only thing is that the recepcionist/hostess is a little bit rude, with a long line of clients waiting. Always busy, make sure you have reservation!

Every time I eat here, I am angry that Seattle doesn't have dim sum like this. I have tried other great dim sum restaurants around Vancouver but we keep coming back to this one. It's consistently good and when we went over this past weekend, the service was excellent. Coming from Seattle, we tend to over-order and our server was kind enough to warn us we have plenty of food. I wish the wait wasn't so long- we were quoted an hour and actually had to wait the full hour. Nonetheless, totally worth the wait! This location is in a plaza with other stores, restaurants, and a grocery store. We got some Starbucks while we waited and they have a great freshly-squeezed juice store inside the plaza. Parking is validated but because of our hour wait, we had to pay around 4 Canadian dollars. You can always leave and come back if you don't want to pay for parking.

Best Dim Sum that I had in Vancouver.

There's a great selection of dim sum. All we ordered were tasty. I like how they are not overly salty. The service was great, and seating is comfortable. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the front desk reception completely forgetting about us. My advice is stand closer to the reception and follow up with them time to time if you haven't get a table yet.

Pricey restaurant for dim sum but they also serve regular Chinese foods. Some normal dim sum, tasted good and fresh. Names of dishes in English is extravagant and sounded very high class but normal food wise. Beef balls were done well but the taste was overwhelmed by the veggies and spices. Shrimp dumplings were good. "Har cheung" were good and I like that they don't splash the sauce over it and provided the sauce on the side. Beef tendon was well done but too overwhelming in taste. The seafood "yee meen" (noodles) was ok, very little noodles and decent amount of seafood.

Hostess was rude. Service is the worst! This is the reason I avoid going there. I like Sun Sui Wai much better. It's too bad because the food is good.

The dim sum at Kirin was very pleasant. Service was great and the food was great. This is one of the best dim sum restaurants in the City of Vancouver. It is my Go To place. I look forward to returning soon.

My favorite dim sum place so far in town. All dim sum taste amazing, my favorite dish are deep fried mince fish mushroom bean curd roll in rice roll and deep fried crispy tofu. Make sure go in a big group, so you can order different dishes to try.

Dim sum is quite good here. The dim sum isn't huge like at some places but quality is there. Prices are high but well worth the price tag. We ordered the standard fare and it didn't disappoint. The highlight of the meal was the charcoal bun with salted egg yolk custard filling. This bun was delicious . The runny salted egg yolk custard filling was so decadent. I could have had a few more orders of that. I'll definitely be back for the charcoal bun. It was busy and service was slow and the food took forever to come. Not ideal when you only have one hour for lunch.

Got a recommendation from our hotel and had lunch. Excellent Dim Sum. Very busy restaurant but had excellent service. Highly recommend.

We came to Vancouver, Canada from Louisiana and we're super excited to try dim sum. Unfortunately, the service sucks and our waitress was super rude. Our waters were emptied for a while and we waited over an hour for all our food to come out. Every time we asked our waitress for something, she would be so damn rude and act like she didn't want to serve us. We were intentionally being ignored. People behind us would get food before us and we ordered the same thing! The food was okay but it wasn't enough to get 2-3 stars. If you're from US And want to have a good time here in Canada, DO NOT EAT HERE!!

Kirin is known as a slightly pricey restaurant with quality food. It is also known as a safe bet when hosting out of town friends. Their pan fried black cod and the winter melon soup were the most memorable dishes. The only downside is their limited wine selection. I wanted them to only uncork one bottle of wine, but the waiter exceeded his instruction and uncorked two bottles. So one may need to micromanage the server on this front.

The food is tasted good and the people who serving there are very nice, besides they have 2 hrs of free parking too but make sure to do the reservation otherwise the waiting time will be very long.
