On a very rainy day, we walked up from Granville Island to Kokomo on Vine in the Kits area. By the time we got there, we were pretty soggy and very hungry. We were warmly welcomed by the two very personable gents who were working, and in less than ten minutes, we were served our Harvest Macro Bowl (with added gochujang tofu), a Buffalo Caesar Wrap, and a Caesar side salad. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious from the first bite to the last. Kokomo was well worth the walk from Granville (about 25 minutes), and the next time we are in Vancouver, we will definitely swing by Kokomo! Highly recommended spot for vegans and non-vegans who are open-minded to seeing just how delicious, fulfilling, and energizing fresh, good vegan food can be! The restaurant is small, with just a few tables, thus I gave it 4/5 stars on atmosphere. However, 5 stars for both food and service!
Great vegan restaurant in Kits! I had the Golden Laksa and loved it. I appreciated the good portion and how fresh ingredients were. The staff are so welcoming and friendly too. Thank you ?

It seems to be that I’ve catched wrong day: sitting down inside, last other guests just left and I was the only customer waiting and waiting for more than 5 minutes without any eye contact or interesting about me to place the order and this while two service person were facing to me doing some random stuff like putting some sticks and writing on bags - sorry guys I had to leave for such a bad experience and bought my vegan lunch at the fresh market around the corner…
15 dollars for a wrap smaller than my hand.
Love the food and vibe here. My usual location is the one in East Van but I stopped here a few times recently and the food delivered the same big flavour and the staff was also very welcoming. I love how their food combines the flavours of comfort food with healthy wholesome ingredients. They carry baked goods from TurF, many of which also offer a slightly healthier take on traditional baked goods without comprising flavour. And everything is vegan!
Pretty small inside, but I really like the vibe. Somehow it kind of reminds me of a camper, maybe it’s the shape… If that’s not your thing there’s a patio area outside with picnic tables which is also great for soaking in good weather when it’s nice out.

I first encountered Kokomo during a Google search for a vegan restaurant in Kits. I had identified a couple of menu items that I can enjoy. When I got there, I asked them to identify which menu items do not contain garlic. The answer was: all the savoury items contain garlic one way or another. I was told that the almond noodles had the least. Since broccoli was listed as one of the ingredients, I thought it would be pretty healthy. Instead, I got a singular broccoli floret in my bowl, the rest was noodles with a garlicky sauce – it was quite disgusting to my taste bud, and for a while there, I thought my tummy was going to riot as well. Another day, while getting a green smoothie at Juice Truck, I realized where I had seen the Kokomo brand before. Kokomo supplies ready to go salad bowls to Juice Truck and other retail outlets. So now, I know that even though the labels on the bowls do not always mention garlic, the salad bowls are not safe for me eat because they all contain garlic. Sigh. The Daily Dozen in the "How Not to Die" book by Dr. McGregor mentioned over 30 herbs and spices that are good for health, and garlic is just one of them. That's more than 33 flavours that can make individual bowls very different and tasty with a huge VARIETY of flavours. And yet, we're stuck with garlic being the dominant taste from this outlet. How unimaginative! On the day I was there, the inside of the restaurant was packed with boxes of stuff like a storage room. We had to sit outside under the sun.

Great vegan friendly restaurant! The food was so tasty! Wow, I will come back for sure@ Large verity of dishes, great prices, and good service. Not many tables, less suitable for groups bigger than 3 people.

Cute little vegan restaurant. I had the $5.50 Spearmint Lemonade, but unfortunately didn't taste much spearmint. Also ordered the $17 Banchan Macro and my partner had the $17 Beet Poke Macro. Both are tasty, only the rice is warm, it's like a warm salad kind of bowl. Good portion size, tasty sauces, fair price for the area.

The food quality has gone so far downhill. I’m heartbroken. I order the almond noodle salad regularly for my partner and I. But the last few orders have been missing key ingredients to the salad (tofu, cilantro, dressing). This last order is probably my last. The salads were both missing the dressing. The noodles were completely stuck together and lacking almond dressing. It’s about $45-$50 after Uber delivery fee’s and tipping. We ordered multiple times a week, and I think we’re going to probably stop for the time being. Might give it a chance again in a few months in hopes that the food quality and consistency improves.

The portions are extremely small. The beet salad had only a few tiny pieces of beet! It's overpriced for the quantity and quality.
