Sooo delicious👌👍
The koshari is sooooo amazing!!! We went there for dinner last night and my husband is on his way back there now to get more koshari!! We tried the macaroni bechamel too. Everything is yummy! Exploding with different flavours. The owner (I assumed he is the owner) is a very nice guy!
It was my first time trying Egyptian food. Koshari was different yet familiar, and pre-ordered hawawshi was freshly cooked, piping hot, juicy, and delicious.
Authentic Egyptian cuisine in Vancouver?! Come try the exotic Koshari and experience the flavours of Egyptian street food.
We tried:
° Signature Koshari bowl (vegan)
° Beef Liver (Kebda) Bun
° Beef Sausage Bun
° Egyptian Beef Swarma Bun
° Hibiscus Juice
° Barbican (Pineapple)
The base Koshari bowl is vegan but you can add protein to it for an added cost. We opt to have it vegan to experience the authentic way of enjoying the bowl. It comes with three sauces, all made in restaurant. There's a tomato-based garlic sauce, the Da'ah (garlic limon vinegar dressing), and a hot sauce. I tried a little bit of the hot sauce and it is quite spicy! 🔥 I love the flavours and texture of the bowl! Bit crispy, and so comforting and hearty!
All the buns came in big portions. My favourite of the three is the beef liver bun as it is so full of flavour. The beef sausage is made in-house, and the sauce that came with it was so delicious. The Egyptian beef swarma bun is in a round bun and came with pickles. You can also get them in a wrap or on a plate instead. Also, if you're into sweet, definitely give the hibiscus juice a try.
There is lots of street parking available in the area. The place is cozy with a few tables. You can also get take out. There are tables outside as well!

This Egyptian food truck turned hole in the wall restaurant in Port Moody intrigued me, and I had a bit of time so what not? It has good recs online.
I can't compare the beef and onion tagine to other versions of Egyptian tagines as this is the first one I have had. It was very good. The onions were ever so lightly caramelized and the beef cooked just right. The owner recommended the Egyptian rice over basmati rice and it was very neat. It's a combination of a basmati rice and a vermicelli and married well with the flavour of the tagine.
One catch: I did notice there is quite a difference between the photo and what came on the plate.
This may work on a food truck, but I do expect to have an experience more consistent with the promise.
The rest of the experience was just as expected.
I like Egyptian food
Authentic Egyptian food! Their food tasted great. They have limited seating though as it’s a small restaurant but I highly recommend this place. The owner is super friendly too.
Try the koshari, Egyptian beef shawerma, and the beef liver.
I have always been curious with Egyptian food and was able to have my first time here after a long walk. The owner was kind, introduced the menu to me and I LOVED the Koshari and the Perfect Platter. Thank you for having me!
The Koshari was delicious! I felt like I was back in Cairo! I’m excited to come back soon :)
Such a delicious dinner! I’m so happy to find authentic Egyptian food in the Vancouver area. The koshari was delicious and the staff were such a kind family. I will definitely be back to bring my friends and family ☺️

Great food!
Finally got to try Koshari and it absolutely met my expectations! The different textures and flavors work perfectly. It’s a comforting, hearty dish. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Koshari Bowl and am definitely planning to order again!
Their hawawshi is ha-WOW-licious! Season meat filling in a nice wrap. Easy to eat on the go, not messy.
My wife and I visisted Zooba restaurant today. Mr.Ahmed is such a great person as well as his wonderful kids, and his food is more than exceptional. I am Moroccan and I came to his restaurant to enjoy the beautiful Egyptian cuisine. Koshari was better than the one I ate in Egypt years ago, and the beef onion tajin was outstanding. Everything is clean and amazingly presented.
I highly recommend this very special place to enjoy the unique Egyptian food made by a great chef.
Thanks a lot Abu Abdallah and the best of luck.
The koshari is unreal. Authentic and delicious.
