I tried the beef liver koshari bowl and it was deeply satisfying, hearty, comforting, and generously portioned. The flavours felt authentic and well-balanced and the liver was cooked beautifully. On a cold winter evening it was especially wonderful to be met with such warm, genuine Arabic hospitality.
The only thing I missed was the crispy fried onions that usually crown a koshari. I have seen them in photos from other diners so perhaps they had run out the day we visited. That said, the bowl was still rich, filling, and very flavourful overall. Would happily come back.

I ordered food from Koshari Zooba for my book club, and it was an amazing experience. My five friends were trying Egyptian food for the very first time, and they were truly impressed.
The customer service was excellent, and you can feel the passion behind this family-run business. The wife is an incredible chef who brings real Egyptian flavors to life — the food tastes so authentic that it feels like a trip to Egypt. The husband is a great manager who makes the whole experience smooth and welcoming.
Even though we didn’t dine in, the quality, flavor, and care in the food were outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience real Egyptian cuisine with exceptional service.

Koshari Zooba is the first Egyptian restaurant in the Vancouver area and it’s absolutely worth the visit 🇪🇬✨ The food was full of flavor, texture, and heart — you can really taste the love in every bite.
We tried the Koshari Beef Liver Multigrains Bowl and the Koshari Chicken Shawarma Bowl — both were delicious! Each bowl had rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas, and a tangy garlic-lemon vinaigrette with tomato sauce, all topped with that perfect drizzle of tahini and pomegranate. 😍
Traditionally Koshari is vegetarian, but I loved that they offer creative twists like beef liver and shawarma for something new!
We also had the Barbican Raspberry (non-alcoholic) and it was bubbly, fruity, and refreshing — the perfect pairing. 🍓✨
The owners are super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels cozy and authentic. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Port Moody or just looking to try something unique and delicious!
