I tried the beef liver koshari bowl and it was deeply satisfying, hearty, comforting, and generously portioned. The flavours felt authentic and well-balanced and the liver was cooked beautifully. On a cold winter evening it was especially wonderful to be met with such warm, genuine Arabic hospitality.

I ordered the Classic Koshari Bowl, the Chicken Shawarma Bowl, and the Beef Shawarma Bowl, and every single dish was a standout. The koshari was perfectly cooked—each layer had the ideal texture, and the flavors were rich, bold, and beautifully balanced. You can tell real care went into making this dish. It’s the kind of meal that leaves you thinking about it long after you’re done. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Egyptian comfort food done right.

Zooba in Port Moody is a gem! The service was amazing, the koshari was the best I’ve had in North America, and Chef Ahmed was fantastic. If you want a true taste of Egypt in the Vancouver area, you have to try this place!
