Would recommend considering visiting if you're in the area looking for Korean food.
5 Star Food: Ordered the Kimchijigae (Kimchi stew) and Bossam Original (Briased pork belly) and was quite satisfied with the meal. Nothing negative to say about it. The Kimchi spice level should be manageable for the vast majority of people. Meal came with 4 side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts, potatoes, and pickled radish) which is on the more minimal side relative to my experience with Korean restaurants but were all good.
5 Star Service: Service staff were polite and in line with what one expects for casual dining. Nothing negative to say.
4 Atmosphere: Nice atmosphere, nothing special but nothing negative to say about it. Customer area including washrooms were clean and presentable.

We came for lunch, it was so busy. We ordered korean chicken, pork belly, and tteokbokki. The chicken is still crispy, the sauce is sweet and tangy. Portion is just right. Service is good, considering how busy they are.

Their chicken and food was decently good. Generous Portions too. But the draft beer was just plainly bad and felt watery. Maybe the machine is broken..? This poor quality beer ruined the chicken experience.

I usually order through UberEats and always go for the boneless chicken. The quality is consistently good and I’ve always been satisfied. However, on my most recent order, the portion size was way off. I ordered a full size, but it looked more like half. Very disappointing, especially since I’m a regular customer. I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering from here again.

We went to Kosoo around 8pm on a Friday night and they were really busy. There were a lot of big groups dining in as well. They have a waitlist which we need to scan when we get there and they'll just notify us when it's our turn. Sadly we waited over 30mins because we were a group of 3 and it's difficult for them to find a table for an odd numbered group. The waiting area is pretty tight so you can wait outside the restaurant also.
We ordered the gamjatang (pork bacbone hotpot) and honey butter boneless fried chicken. Their servings are pretty big, we ended up with lots of leftovers. Food was really good and worth the wait. Servers are all very attentive as well.

It's like eating in Korea... The portion was too much for two people. I love stone pot rice, so I really like this place.

I visited for lunch and got the short rib. The broth is amazing but the meat needs more seasoning. It was a little bland. We were seated by the window which was great because it had a nice view of Robson (a popular street downtown). The servers are always nice and attentive. Overall give it a try, they have numerous other items that all at least look tasty.

The restaurant is charging GST on the gratuity tip, which is not standard practice and may even be against tax rules. This is concerning and feels dishonest. Other restaurants I’ve visited do not do this. Check your receipt carefully.
Update:
I understand your explanation, but to the customer it still feels like paying a forced tip plus tax.
Calling it a “service charge” doesn’t change the fact that it looks like we’re being taxed on a mandatory tip, which feels unfair.
Got a half order of boneless soy garlic and yangnyeom and the galbi. Plenty of food for 4 people. Price was very fair and the food was delicious. Waitress and hostess was very polite.

You should change your staff. I visited yesterday, and I didn’t receive any service. When we asked if something was wrong, they said, “Well, it’s because you didn’t give a tip.” Is this how someone in customer service should act ? They even took the payment terminal away from me while I was still paying.
