We had a fantastic experience here for dinner. Food was amazing, service was superb, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter was very knowledgable and easily made informed recommendations based on our taste preferences. The price point is on the upper end, but you absolutely get what you pay for.

Finally made it to La Buca and it met our expectations. There was free parking on the streets out front and around the corner. We made reservations and were warmly welcomed into the cozy single room restaurant. The menu was simple and easy to understand but our server was on hand to go through highlights and specials and offer his suggestions for his favourites. We opted to order four items to share between three people and it was a perfect amount. We ordered the foccacia which we added to the one included with the burrata. This dish was perfect but the foccacia were so tiny. We wanted more! Tasty but little. The gnocchi was perfect and we all commented how the bed of peas they were on tasted like they came straight from the garden. The tagliolini ragu was done to a perfect al dente but quite small for the $35. Not my favourite dish of the evening but it is a good pasta. The chicken cacciatore was of excellent quality. Tender and perfectly done. Heavenly flavours. All in all a nice fine dining experience but make sure you are comfortable with the fine dining prices before you sit down to the attentive service and wonderfully cooked dishes.

La Buca has been a favorite restaurant both for family and business occasions. The service was always exceptional and the food very good. The last two times I’ve visited I didn’t recognize any of the staff (my favorite east coast waiter wasn’t there). There have been times when a few of the dishes were only average but the service would make up for that, the last two visits the service hasn’t been up to the same level. The staff seem overwhelmed, no warm welcome or attentive service. I wanted another glass of red wine with my pasta but the server never returned, she was too busy. I generally don’t leave reviews but things have changed noticeably and I doubt I will return.

It used to be such a great little spot with impeccable service. Hadn't been since the spring. This restaurant used to be a fall/winter destination. My Sept experience was a fail. My $35 five bite prawn pasta left me more hungry. All new staff which was a shock. I took for granted how nice it was being recognized as a regular. It's really lost its appeal after all these years.

Small restaurant that seats about 25. It gets quite noisy when full. That’s a good problem to have, I guess. Prices are on the steep side. But the food was really good. And the flourless chocolate cake was top notch. My only real complaint is the wine list pricing is not varied. The average is $95 a bottle. A 9oz glass of the cheap stuff is $23. And they only have two beers available, both Italian. The underlying message, “if the wine prices seem too high, you shouldn’t be here”. If they provide more lower price wine choices and add a couple more beer options I’d give a five star recommendation.Dietary restrictions: They actually catered to one of us allergic to onions and garlic. Pretty impressive.
