Great spot! I’ve been coming here since I moved to Vancouver. The concept is unique, friendly staff, always a good experience.
AMAZING PLACE! If you love ice cream or just like trying new flavors then you MUST visit La Casa Gelato! They've got (practically) every flavour under the sun PLUS sugar-free options++. Our family visits here many times through the summer and it's a favourite spot to celebrate our fall and winter birthdays too.
Friendly gentleman with patience for my children and very polite and accommodating. Sorry didnt get his name this time but he's there each time we go. Kids loved their generously portioned double scoops (and a contingency plan cup incase the scoops tilted too far). Great way to end an adventurous day out.
Been going here since a kid. They still let you try all the flavors 😊🥰 Although pricey. Its worth the experience.
Fantastic product and service. I hope they stay around forever
Jan 30 2026... Went for a double cone around 9pm a little late for gelato but what the hell. Gotta feed the vice

Very bad service
Stop by La Casa Gelato if you’re craving something that actually tastes like gelato — rich, creamy, and authentically Italian — not just cold dessert. The texture is noticeably smoother and silkier than your average ice cream, and the flavours hit with real depth rather than just sweetness.
What kind of an ice cream shop doesn’t give samples?!? Used to come here 5-10 times a year over the last decade and I will never come here again because of that. I understand making people pay before coming in or having a limit but no samples at all for a place that boasts 256 flavours (hasn’t been anywhere near that in years) defeats the point and is penny pinching by management. The selection and ice cream is great but the decision to no longer give samples will make me never recommend this place to anyone ever again 👎
Best ice cream 🍦
Great Gelato and service was excellent!

What a fun place to visit! Highly recommend the butter pecan and caramel pecan flavours - but the kids preferred candy floss and coke and jolly rancher flavours. The icecream is amazing but so is the FOMO when you only choose one or two (or three) flavours.
I wish they sold a tasting plate with 10 flavours!!
Service was efficient and friendly… Note though that they don’t take Credit Card or overseas Debit cards - if in doubt, have case ($10-15 per person)
The only ice cream indulging place in the world with 238 flavours,.located in east Vancouver just 15 minutes drive from downtown! A must visit for all BC residents and visitors! My family members whenever visiting from Halifax, Toronto, Virginia, US or Vietnam, always come in La Casa Gelato for delightful ice cream treats, even if it's winter time!
La Casa Gelato truly lives up to its reputation, offering an impressive selection of gelato with plenty of flavors to choose from. With over 200+ varieties available at any given time, it's overwhelming and note, the quality isn't that good. There’s better out there.
One interesting detail is the wall decorated with greetings translated into more than 40 languages. However, I noticed that Tagalog was not included, which stood out—especially since many Filipino customers were visiting during my time there.
Overall, La Casa Gelato is worth a visit, but I suggest you not to expect more. Their wide range of flavors has been recognized by the Guinness World Records but that's it... nothing more.
Classic place to come for gelato.
Have been going here for over 25 yrs and have no idea what has happened. We went new years eve and were so disappointed.... All of the 6 Flavours we tried were the worst gelato we have ever had. Grainy, not smooth and hardly any flavour. For a 6 yr old and a 2 yr old to not even want their ice cream is unheard of, and a total justification of the poor quality. Bring back the old recipes and quality control! Don't cheap out!
