My son and I love this place! The fish and steak tacos on flour tortillas are delicious!!! The fish tacos has a special sauce on it and they give 2 big pieces of fish in 1 taco. I fish taco is very filling. We sat on the patio on a beautiful sunny Sunday at noon and it was roomy and breezy. The service was also great; the servers were friendly and attentive.

The best carnitas tacos I’ve had in Vancouver so far.

Still one of the best taco spots in Vancouver! I drove from Langley just to enjoy their delicious food. The staff is so friendly and make you feel very welcome. This cute taqueria brings a piece of Mexico to our city with their food flavor profiles and good vibes.

Nice, laid back, clean, tacos were delicious, and food was nice and fresh.

Food: I had the Hongos salads (Vegetarian) burrito with low sodium and it was great!

. The service was friendly. Note that you need to order at the counter, and get your own water and condiments. They will bring your food. In my opinion, the lowest suggested tip option should be 10% in this case instead of 18%. I understand that restaurant staff are underpaid in general but I feel like the tip options should match the service levels.

. The restaurant kindly turned down the music for us so we could hear each other better at our longer table.

Ate lunch in the sun on the patio.
Beautiful Tacos, chips & guac in a cool setting, A really lovely last meal in Vancouver before flying home to England. Highly recommended!

Wow what is going on here? It used to be so good, and busy! Now it’s terrible. And it was dead, so obviously everyone got the memo before me and I won’t return.

Our carne asada taco had about 5g of beef and all 3 tacos came out cold. Check out the pic, it’s insane to have paid $6 for this miserable taco. All margaritas are premixed so you can’t get a virgin one, and the drink selection is generally lacking. The food used to be amazing so this is very disappointing to lose a fav spot.

This was a great spot before, had great vibes and service. Wasn't aware of their service and menu change. It is now self serve and chaotic. Servers look overwhelmed and lost. Food arrives cold and your basically tipping for no service while eating in.

This was a great spot until 2023. They had a great menu, table service and it was my go to taco spot in the city.

Now their menu keeps changing, self service is chaotic to order and it’s difficult to eat in the restaurant. Service is extremely slow and servers look lost. Food has arrived cold and without the right toppings on my 2 past visits.

They are always short staffed.

Mexican food is all about bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Tacos, especially, are simple, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Always a go-to when you want something quick and delicious.

Probably the best tacos and nachos I’ve ever had! Great prices and food came out quick. 10/10

Thought the service was great until they charged me 1.85 for a pithy side of lettuce after receiving a chicken bowl doused in sauce with no carbs in it. The new cocktail bar looks cool though. Hopefully they don't charge for the lime in the corona. :p

Fantastic Patio & Great Tacos!

La Taqueria is a great spot, especially on the first warm and sunny day of spring! The patio is perfect for soaking up the sun, and it's pet-friendly, which is a huge plus. I tried the Gringa de Pastor, and it was delicious—the grilled pineapple added just the right amount of sweetness, and the protein was flavorful, though the portion was a bit small. The horchata was also solid—not watery at all, just the right balance of sweetness and spice. Overall, a great experience—I’ll definitely be back!
