A decent restaurant that worth Michelin recommended. All the dishes are to the satisfactory level. The little surprise is the appetizer steak tartare which the fried shiso matches well with the beef and chutoro. The baked oysters are done to perfection. Lamb saddle portion as main is quite small. The desserts are just so so.

We recently hosted our company Christmas party here and we were thoroughly impressed. Exceptional service, food was amazing and overall was just a really great experience!

The service at this restaurant was excellent. The servers were polite, attentive, and friendly. However, the food was a major letdown. The steak was overcooked and the sauce was too salty. The lamb was also awful because of its texture and seasoning. The appetizers were tiny portions as well. Overall, this restaurant is overpriced and overrated. I wouldn’t be returning.

A Chef's tasting menu is available for $140 per person but we opted for A La Carte.
Everything we ordered was delicious!
-Steak tartare (chutoro, fried shiso, oyster dressing)- A perfect little bite!
-Baked pacific oysters (whipped garlic butter, black truffle)- Amazing!
-Hokkaido scallop crudo (pickled daikon, shiso, yuzu vinaigrette)- fresh and sweet!
-Pork jowl confit (charred cabbage, nuoc cham, herb salad)- tender and flavorful!
-Wild Pacific halibut (ricotta dumpling, iberico lardo, beurre blanc)- Yum!
Remember to make a reservation, otherwise it's bar seating only. We had a table upstairs with a great view of the bar and restaurant.
Will return to try the Chef's tasting menu!

We entered L'Abattoir on an impulse, no pre-planning involved, and WOW. What a nice surprise this turned out to be! We ate at the bar and were treated to a dining experience beyond all expectations. Each dish was better than the last. The wine recommendations were spot on perfect.

I remember when L'Abattoire first opened in 2010 and it was and still is an incredible dining experience (baked truffle oysters - a must). A staple in the Vancouver food scene setting the standard for quality and service. They have been fine tuning their craft for 15 years and you can taste it. I moved to Toronto years ago and whenever I come back to this city, this restaurant is always on my list. Thank you to the sommelier for making my solo dining a pleasure and the generous splash of sauternes with my dessert (chocolate tart the best). Cheers!

This was truly an exceptional dining experience for my partner and I. We were well overdue for a date night meal and we noted that. They welcomed us, gave us some complementary bubbles to celebrate that and noted it. We chose the chef seasonal tasting menu which was such a lovely pairing with their wine tasting menu to complement. Timing was great, meals were enough but not too filling and loved the unique combinations. Thank you, a must for a well thought and upscale meal.
Celebrated anniversary and birthday, and as usual food and drinks were excellent. Service was exceptional, Matt's drink recommendations and food knowledge were above and beyond. We always come back every year and the menu changes are always a great surprise. Thank you again, see you soon.

If there is one restaurant to try in Vancouver, it’s this one. From the greetings to the service to the food, everything was spot on. Rarely have I went to a restaurant where such attention was given to every step of the experience. Don’t miss out.

JC was wonderful. He remembered me from our phone conversation. We came for our anniversary and he gave us complimentary champagne. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious. The dessert was divine. Everything was excellent. Thank you
Absolutely amazing. I cant say enough good things about this wonderful and cozy restaurant. Our waiter was so personable- Chris, you made our meal all the more lovely. The food was simply outstanding. A beautiful combination of flavors and everything was cooked to perfection. The baked oysters were the most wonderful mouthful of flavors and textures to start our meal. The agnolotti were pillow soft and the lemon sauce was so good I finished what was left with a spoon. This will be my first stop for dinner the next time I come to Vancouver!

One of Vancouvers best restaurants no doubt! New menu items frequently. Best baked oysters in Canada!
The tasting menu was devine. The service excellent And the wine pairing was without any exaggeration, world class. An experience to be repeated.
