Everything was excellent about this place. Food was delicious and service was good. The price could be cheaper, but portions were big.

Drove by this Laksa King many times, finally on Easter Sunday, we got to enter, see their 1950-ish cute drive-in decor, and taste their Burmese, Malay, Thai - influenced menu, got very impressed to know that the owner is also the chef! A rarity in today's franchise, paid-chef Vancouver eateries. Of course the food at Laksa King reflected the passion of the Owner/Chef. We tried their Sunday's special, Mohingar and their spectacular Roti-pratha which rivalled everything I tasted in Malaysia, Singapore and Vancouver's many Indian-Malaysia-Nyonya based eateries. We came again bringing our friends from Laos, and this time we got to try more of their Laksa, tea-leaf salad and desserts. We gave 4-star instead of 5-star for food, since it is natural for an eatery with dishes from that many countries to have some dishes not meeting what our taste-bud expected. Not a bad thing, just a preference in taste. Laksa King is definitely a place we will introduce to many of our friends and families. The service is attentive and top-notch without any expectation for tips.

Pad Thai was ok but it cooked with chills peppers which I didn’t like. Char kway teow was greasy and avg. I wouldn’t recommend. Definitely won’t recommend Roti Canai because it was very greasy. Soaked in oil. People were super nice tho.

Dont support animal cruelty.
I walked this street for 2 years now everyday and they never cleaned their fish tank.
Fishes are clearly suffering and dying. Wake up Laksa King its not hard to turn on your brain.

This is cruel — remove this aquarium and set the fish free, they’re suffering!!!
Ordered the Laksa noodles, Mee Goreng, Beef Rendang, and Roti. Portion size could be a little bigger for the price. The dishes were tasty.

This place has a vintage vibe. Had the Laksa with combo of egg and rice noodles, boy it was very good. I’m just doing four stars as I felt the atmosphere quite eerie and I’m not sure why. Service was good as staff was very attentive.
