One of the best places in the city to catch one of our many fine local acts. As comfortable as an old pair of loafers, and the food is great too...

Killer venue and cool place to hang out. Didn’t try the food but I hear it’s pretty good. The location might not be for tourists or the faint of heart though.

I don’t like to post negative reviews, but I have to be honest. If you are a musician and are looking to jam here; I just want you to know what you may encounter. From the moment I walked in the energy was mostly unfriendly. (Two women were very kind as was the lady at the door collecting cover charge though ) One of these women said to me , “ you’ve got courage and balls to walk in here alone and say you’re going to sing ”, well yes, I do have courage and yes I love to sing, so there you go
. Sort of felt like I was in an old western movie at this point
 anyways on with what happened

The person who hosted the jam, ( he wore a cowboy hat ) was nothing but a bully and harassed me. I was told I would go up after two bands. Well the one band sang three songs. The next band did three and I was ready to go up, but the host let them do another song. When I asked if I was going up , the host said said loudly with derision , “ what , do you have a gig to go to?” And they all laughed, at a newcomer eager to rock out some blues. The last song the band did was a sing-along song. Some people were singing and dancing, some not. I didn’t know the song and chose to just listen. The host, who was playing keyboard for this song found it necessary to leave his keyboard and approach me, and say with with attitude; “you’re a singer , why don’t you sing?” I told him no, and I looked away. Well, that wasn’t good enough for him. A couple minutes later he approached me again and said the same thing; with the same aggression. He was mocking me. I told him no, and that I was saving my voice.
Anyways it’s now my turn, the band started playing slow blues and I started singing a blues song I wrote. The audience was quiet, I put my heart into it. ( I only got one song and I didn’t get there super late. The jam started at 4 and went till 7. I got there at 5:30.) When the song ended, many people that were sitting stood up to applaud me. I would not get another song. Usually the host communicates with the musician about how many songs they have. I was not told any of this before I sang. The next musician was already on stage. I grabbed my coat, and thanked the three ladies who were kind to me. As I headed for the door, quite a few people approached me and said “ you must come back! “ Most of these people were the same people who judged and laughed at me a few minutes earlier.
Due to the disrespect and judgment I received I do not recommend this place.
