Super friendly service. Their tortas are amazing; so tasty and good value for the amount of meat in there. Great post workout food for me. My wife loves their lamb soup. We are always going back for more! Oh and their horchatas are off the hook; loaded with cinnamon. Best horchatas in town.

I’M SO DISAPPOINTED. I decided to ignore the bad reviews and focus on the good ones and it was a mistake. The tortas are not worth what they cost, I don't have to give more details, the photos say it all.I have tried “Al pastor” in more than 15 cities in Mexico and I definitely don't know where this is from. We ordered Torta de Pierna and Al pastor and it was 90% Cabbage, 5% bread and 5% meat.It is definitely not “Gourmet” food.

Ordered a beef tongue and beef with avocado torta. They were pretty decent, there wasn't a whole lot of meat, the ratio of meat to bread was very small. Not worth the $20 or so per sandwich, it won't get you completely full you'll need something else. Also got the birriamen - warning its spicy, I wanted to give it to my kids but had to have it all to myself. The reason for the lowish rating is because I was trying to give a manual tip, and I accidently pressed enter so it was in cents.. but I asked her to break a 20 so I could put in money in the tip jar. And I did so. As a result, I didn't get any utensils at all with any of the items, and even when I asked for one, I just got one fork. Wasn't a smile, the lady looked annoyed. The food is alright, but probably won't be coming back if this is the type of service I'm going to receive.

The food was good but it was not worth the price paid.People dining on a budget will find better value somewhere else-$40 for 2 tacos and a sandwich is a lot- at that price the servings should at least be big enough but they were very small and we left hungry.

The food won’t be the best Mexican food you have in Vancouver, but I appreciated the atmosphere of the place and the service. We ordered the birria and al pastor tortas. The taste is not as faithful to real Mexican tortas, but they’re not bad either. The buns are way different from real Mexican “bolillos”, but I get it that it might be hard to get those here (if not impossible). We also ordered the tres leches cake and it was great, as well as horchata and jamaica water. Prices are reasonable for Vancouver.

As a native Mexican, I have high expectations when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Time and time again, I get disappointed with Mexican restaurants. The food was just okay. The rice is too soft, and the tortillas get warmed up in a microwave. I don't like to use microwaves to heat my food because it's not good for me. Yet, EVERY single Mexican restaurant that I have been to does the same thing! I don't even have one in my kitchen. The best way to heat up corn tortillas is on a non-stick pan. A comal would be best, but then, we are in Canada. The guacamole tasted awful! The chicken mole was okay, nothing that I would order again. Overall, the food was not great. The service was fine. The gentleman who served me was super polite and answered all of my questions. Apparently, everything is made from scratch, including the beans, mole sauce, salsa, and guacamole. The corn tortillas are purchased elsewhere. So I was told and I was told also that the tortillas indeed get thrown in the microwave. That's a BIG NO for me. That's a deal breaker. I won't be coming back to this place to eat. But who knows! You might like it! Paid parking only, free parking about two to three blocks in residential areas. washrooms are clean. Music is not too loud, which is appreciated.
