It's hard to find restaurants with exceptionally well-trained staff at restaurants in Vancouver. That is not the case with Le Crocodile. The staff here are very good. While entrees can be a bit on the pricey side, the skill with which customers are taken care of harkens back to the pre-Feenie days and into the present. That consistency of care and service are a huge part of what brings us back year after year for special occasions.
I recently dined at Le Crocodile for lunch. While the restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent, it does not warrant my highest rating for French food in Vancouver. The red and green endive salad was exceptional but the beef tartar was middle of the road at best. I would still recommend this restaurant for the experience but might suggest going with the prixe fixe lunch deal which is currently the steak frites.
The restaurant stands the test of time. Simple contemporary settings, personable service, delicious and well presented food and drinks. A very delightful lunch experience! Will return for sure!
