We had a perfect evening dining here for our anniversary. Our server, Samantha, was attentive, helpful, and truly wonderful. Every detail — from the wine selection to the appetizers and entrée — exceeded our expectations. Combined with the beautiful views, it made for a memorable and special experience.

We were greeted warmly by the beautiful hostess who found us a romantic overlook of the waterway as our table. Marcio from Argentina was amazing and we found out his grandmother was Sicilian because I addressed him in Italian. We then spoke Spanish with him and he was charming. He served our table impeccably, always "anticipati tutti" anticipating our every need. We felt amazed that this restaurant just celebrated 20 years and the hostess directed our attention to the owner who has been here diligently making the Lift an incredible experience the entire 20 years, built from scratch!!! The food dazzled us and was the freshest possible. We had West Coast oysters with 3 delicious sauces, the Shrimp Tempura with an amazing aioli, the delicious unbelievable OUTSTANDING house salad with white vinaigrette, and the House Special Sockeye Salmon over delightful grilled asparagus and scrumptious mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the Chocolate Mess and it was not messy, just amazing. Our greatest meal in Vancouver. See photos.

We had a very peasant evening at Lift. The view was great and the good was good. Our server Nichols was excellent. It is so interesting how a great service is such an essential part of the experience at a restaurant. If I owned a restaurant, and I glad I don't, I would be so happy if I had a staff of Nichols's!

It was not our first fist to this beautifully located restaurant. As much as Open Table said no outside seating , we had no problem getting a waterside table upstairs. The food and service are consistently good.

Their seafood options are so good. The menu changes a few times a year but all the favourites remain. Love the scallop/shrimp creamy pasta, scallop pork belly appetizer also great, and any fish fillet will be perfectly cooked and taste delicious. We were able to sit on the upper patio during sunset, tough to beat that ambience with the patio fireplaces burning and pinks/oranges from the sunset in your view.

We recently dined here and ordered from the happy hour menu. The selection was great and all the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress really took good care of us. And the area and view is second to none. We can't wait to come back!
Realistically ..... going out for dinner anywhere now isn't a cheap ordeal ! That being said, Lift is a total gem ! Great location, perfect size ( not to big, not to small), great atmosphere and upstairs deck with fire pits ! Then there was the food ! Outstanding !!!! For our anniversary, my wife and I shared the scallops & pork belly starter .... Odd combo, but AMAZING ! Then she had the scallop & prawn tagliatelle and I had the green Thai coconut curry with tofu ..... not a fan of tofu myself, but both these dishes absolutely killed it ! With Jay being our server, the very warm & welcoming greeting we got upon arrival from the ladies at the front and everything said above, Lift is our new #1 ! On top of all this, for location, atmosphere, variety as well as quality of the food ....... The price wasn't unreasonable. So for that, I'd say LIFT is hitting “Way Above” their weight class ! An Absolute Hidden Gem !!!!!

Loved our dining experience at Lift! The crab cakes appetizer and steelhead main with brocollini side was delicious. We had a table right by the water and got to watch harbour seals, rowers, and yachts cruise by. Gorgeous view!

Been a few times and have always been disappointed with the food. Went for my mom's birthday to give it another shot, and we decided to leave and go elsewhere after trying the gyoza. It was soggy and just simply gross. We also found the service to lack attentiveness and effort. A shame considering the great ambiance and location.
