We had a wonderful time at Lift. The food was fresh, the drinks were refreshing, and everything was excellent as always. Brunch Benny was delicious.
Jay truly made our visit though. He was attentive, welcoming, and brought such great energy that made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

5 stars all around. Came for a brunch with good water views and the food was delicious and fresh with lots of thought put into it. From each piece of fruit on my benedict being perfectly ripe to the smoked salmon being amazing - love! The service & ambience being really great was a cherry on top. Really made the start of my husband's birthday sweet!

We have walked by Lift many times and always intended to try it, but never quite got around to it. When Vancouver Dine Out started, we decided to make this our first stop. We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday, and the restaurant had a lively, welcoming buzz with a very cozy atmosphere.
Our server was efficient, friendly, and attentive. Even though I ordered from the Dine Out menu, she kindly accommodated a modification due to a food allergy.
The food was outstanding. My husband loved the octopus, and the short ribs I ordered were perfectly tender with just the right amount of mushroom sauce and gnocchi. We finished with a very light and delicious tiramisu.
This was our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to returning to try the full menu.

The food on the Dine Out menu was very tasty and great value. We all left feeling very satisfied. The location is wonderful and the view of the city amazing....even in winter when it gets dark early. Definitely going back.

I attempted to dine as a walk-in at this downtown fine-dining restaurant on Monday, January 19, 2026, arriving at 9:00 PM without a reservation. To my surprise, the restaurant was already closed for the day, despite posted hours suggesting otherwise. A staff member (server or hostess) was visible inside and indicated through the window that they were closed. When I showed her the current time, she kindly approached the door and explained that they had decided to close early due to a complete lack of walk-in customers that evening. While I understand the challenges of slow nights—particularly on Mondays—and appreciate the staff member’s polite explanation, this was disappointing for a high-end venue in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Fine-dining establishments in busy urban areas are generally expected to honor standard operating hours, even for potential walk-ins, as foot traffic and last-minute diners are part of the business model. Closing early solely because no one had walked in feels unprofessional and erodes confidence in the restaurant’s reliability. This experience has left me unlikely to try again, even with a reservation.

We recently dined at Lift Bar Grill View to celebrate my husband’s 65th birthday and had a fabulous evening. The service from Tasha was excellent and the meal was outstanding. The special was the 10oz prime rib, but I’m pretty sure that since it was a milestone birthday, the cut was closer to 16oz!

I spent my bday dinner with my friends here and the service was excellent and warm! The staffs are so attentive and welcoming. Food is a little bit pricey but we love it! The view is amazing and highly recommended to make a reservation during summer weekends !

We took advantage of the lunch time burger deal ($20 and includes fries and a beer) it was the best! Top quality and Delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Plus it was one of those perfect days to be by the water, the views were stunning. We had the best time

Went for brunch Saturday January 10th. Excellent service, food was excellent. Such a beautiful spot right on the water! Prawn Benny, chicken and waffles and the schnitzel were all just excellent!

Gorgeous location. We will definitely go back in the spring or summer to get the whole experience. I'm guessing getting a table will be hard because you can't get better than this. Absolutely gorgeous setting and although we were only there for a quick drink and appie, the service was equally amazing
