We came here on a really special day, but it was very disappointing. They served us spoiled oysters, and when we complained to the manager, they didn’t apologize or say anything. Instead, they just said, “We bring in fresh oysters every single day, so I don’t know what the problem is.” We were very disappointed with their attitude, and we felt that apologizing wasn’t even an option for them. They should have apologized. It was a really bad experience at this restaurant, and we will never go there again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Huge Shoutout to Quincy — You Saved My 50th Birthday!
I want to give the biggest shoutout to Quincy, the manager at The Lift Bar & Grill. From the very first phone call, his positive energy, “can-do” attitude, and genuine professionalism came through loud and clear. I was in a panic after another venue failed me at the last minute , invitations were sent, guests were confirmed, and suddenly I had nowhere to host my medium-sized 50th birthday celebration and I only had one week to figure it out, you can only imagine how stressed out I was when I met him!
My birthday was just last night, and thanks to him, it turned out better than I ever imagined. Quincy absolutely saved the day. When I met him later that evening, I immediately knew I could trust him. His confidence and willingness to step in and help me on such short notice felt like a miracle. He promised he would make it happen and he did. He even offered a fully thought-out backup plan in case the patio didn’t work out, letting me host the party downstairs if needed. He truly knows how to handle his business, and it shows. He was fearless, bold, and incredibly accommodating, even taking a chance with me by using their covered patio on a rainy Vancouver night. His amazing energy, joyful presence, and commitment to making things work turned what could have been a disaster into one of the best nights of my life. To Quincy: I am forever grateful. I couldn’t have pulled this off without you. To Jeff, our server, and the entire team: thank you. You all ROCK. The food was delicious, the venue looked beautiful, and my friends kept complimenting the cozy fireplace, the comfortable couches, and the overall vibe. Everyone told me I chose an excellent venue and they were right. Quincy, because of how you handled my last-minute request with such grace, unmatched energy and professionalism, The Lift Bar & Grill has officially become my favourite restaurant in town. Thank you again for making my 50th birthday unforgettable. 💜
With Gratitude, Ebru

Our server was fabulous but patrons that let their kids play with tablets that fall and break glasses and disturb people around them should be prohibited. There should be standards so special occasions (our intimate birthday dinner) isn't ruined by families who don't have rules for no video games at the table.
Around 2 pm on a weekday. Peaceful and quiet just next to the water with delicious steelhead burger and a glass of white wine something Humbrecht, sorry don't remember the full name, it was nice. I had to sit outside because I had my girl with me. They were kind enough to open the patio for me and find a cushion for the seat. Lovely staff. I will definitely visit again.

So incredibly disappointed to have celebrated my birthday here. I had high hopes for this restaurant and unfortunately it did not come close. I usually don’t complain about restaurants but this one had mice running around, directly underneath my feet.
I mentioned it to the waitress and the manager, they all seemed very careless about the matter. I was told it’s due to “being by the water and crumbs on the floor”
We got moved to a higher table so the mice wouldn’t be by our feet as much (didn’t make a difference). When being moved to the other table, there was a dirty napkin on my chair. I mentioned this and the waitress unapologetically just grabbed the napkin and said “it’s just a paper napkin”. The lack of hospitality and enthusiasm from the staff here made the whole experience so unpleasant.
Overall the food was really not great, but at that point we lost our appetite. I was brought a cake for my birthday which was nice and the wine i ordered got me through the evening.
Overall for the price and service, I’d never go back….

We had family in from out of town so wanted to treat them to LIFT while they were in Vancouver. The restaurant did not disappoint! The food and service was excellent. The Halibut was the favorite as well as the Mac & Cheese.
Great service and food. Restaurant was only half full but music was loud which I found annoying.
Always dependable. Greeat fresh seafood, wine and dessert. Always one of our faves when visitng Vancouver.
Great professional service from Cassandra. Wonderful food. I had the halibut which was perfectly prepared. Tender and moist. Excellent wine list. Along with beers and cocktails. Highly recommend.

Favorite go to restaurant for good delicious food and excellent service. Well priced and the view is incomparable. Also, a great place to bring visitors as it is adjacent Stanley Park, which is a perfect place for a walk after an amazing weekend brunch.

My friend and I (visiting from Edmonton) decided to stop in for a quick drink before our spa appointment, and we immediately felt judged. The bartender (whose name i believe is Jeff) barely greeted us and never checked on us once after taking our drink order.
When it came time to pay, on the payment machine he had highlighted a 20% tip for my friend, while he automatically selected 20% for me before handing the machine over. As servers ourselves, we always tip well, but having someone force the tip felt condescending and disrespectful.
What was supposed to be a relaxing stop by the water turned into an uncomfortable experience that completely ruined the vibe of our afternoon. There are plenty of better, friendlier places along the waterfront — skip this one.
