Came here for brunch, had the BEST eggs Benedict ever!!! My partner had the steak and eggs, I tried his steak and it was cooked perfectly!!!! My cousin got an omelette and it had soooo much flavour! The drinks were also really good, the service was amazing and I just love the whole lay out and atmosphere at this place, highly recommend!!!

Makes me very sad to write this review because up until this point, the Locus Lounge has been my Favourite restaurant in Vancouver. I go here 6-10 times per year for occasions, celebrations, and other. The food has always been very good and the specials are a fun surprise each time.
I went in today for a birthday breakfast with my partner. I ordered a skillet & a smoothie, and asked for the smoothie to be brought out along with my skillet. They bring out the food and let me know that the smoothie will be coming in a few minutes - fair enough. I thank them and wait on eating my food, because I wanted to eat them together. A few minutes pass and I can see they're busy behind the counter making drinks, so I make eye contact with the waitress and smile. After another few minutes the owner (Or, assumed owner at least. Always in the corner on his laptop whenever I go in) brings out my drink and says "There you go, are you happy now you big baby?". It was extremely weird and I've never experienced anything like it before in my life - again, I hadn't said a word up until this point and was not at all displeased by the slight delay between when my food came out and my drink came out. It set a weird tone for the rest of our meal, and ruined what I hoped would be an enjoyable birthday breakfast.
Needless to say, I won't ever be returning which is again a shame because up until now this has been effectively the only restaurant I frequent in Vancouver.

Sat on the patio in the sun. Was so lovely and the lunch special was absolutely amazing. A Duck and Mushroom penned pasta...soo soo tasty. They also serve a great breakfast here.

My 3 sisters & I looked for a new & hopefully amazing Vancouver restaurant! WOW did we hit the jackpot - the food, vibe & service were all amazing! We all ate a variety of dishes as 2 of our crew are celiacs & the menu was fully accommodating! Keeping the 4 of us happy is hard but Locus gets full marks!
Dietary restrictions: Celiacs were fully accommodated!

We had a lovely lunch here for a birthday. The food was wonderful and we ate every scrap. I'll be back in the cool weather for cocktails and visiting.

I came here for dinner on a Friday night and it wasn't that busy at all. If you desire a different restaurant vibe from the typical, then this is it. The setting was Gothic themed, dark and moody. I felt like a cave-woman in the washroom.
Service was really good. Food came out in a timely manner and the restaurant employees and owner checked on us multiple times, while refilling our water.
I ordered the linguine which was in their main menu. Apparently they also have another menu which changes every day. My buddies ordered the cod fish from that and lamb chops. I thought the taste of the linguine was okay. It has a slight bitterness to it that I wasn't sure fit well with the rest of the meal.
Along with my dish, I ordered a cocktail called Magical Strings. It was too sweet for me. For some reason I thought it would be more on the tangy/citrus side.
I didn't get to try it but I thought the lamb chops looked delicious!
Seeing other reviews regarding breakfast, I think I would like to come here again just to try their breakfast meals!

My wife and I enjoy exploring Vancouver's wonderful restaurant scene, and Locus is one of our favourites. The menu has interesting and unique items, and they are prepared extremely well. The food is priced very well, and we can usually walk in and get a table. Apparently this restaurant has been around since the late 90's, I hope its around for another 25 years!

Nobody rushes you here, so it’s a lovely spot for a chatty lunch/brunch. The vegan alternatives are yummer-nummer.
Dietary restrictions: The Buddha bowl was delicious!
