This place is ok, went for brunch, the food is kinda pricey and your typical brunch food.
This place is amazing - unique delicious food, unique atmosphere. Industrial nature-esc eclectic feel.
Going to Locus is like visiting an old friend. Fred will welcome you warmly, the ambiance is great, the music soothing and never too loud, and suddenly there is time, lots of it. Above all, the food is comforting, for your body and your soul. I have been multiple times, on my own or with different people. We were never disappointed with what was served, breakfast (the eggs, bacon and sausage) and brunch (the benedicts, beef, duck). While many of us have enjoyed the plentiful of the harvest bowl, we were not keen on the candied walnuts which gave it a sweetened finish. I have indulged in the lobster benedict at brunch time: go for it!
For dinner, I always end up with any duck option available and am never disappointed. However, the fish and beef are quite tempting, and I was told good, as well.
Fred did a small miracle for me: finding a table for my husband and I on a Dec. 31st for a late dinner even if we didn't have a reservation! That's miracle on Main Street for you!
Visited in Apr 2025. It wasn't very busy at 11am on a Saturday. Had the Locus Skillet with pulled duck confit and the Main St Eggs along with a lemonade and raspberry iced tea.
The interior is rather darkish inside and feels a bit bohemian. Food was pretty good and I really liked the duck.
If I could rate it higher than five stars I would. Here the second day in a row for brunch. The food and staff combined make it irresistible.
Thank you Locus staff and owners for the privilege of having this option in our neighborhood.
What a beautiful place for brunch, has the warm heart of the city on full show. Food done was fantastic, and attentive caring service.
Stopped by for brunch, food is portioned, but really good! The theme is locus on the inside, unique, the manager or owner was very nice and attentive, it is a bit dark inside due to the theme of their restaurant. But we enjoyed our meal!
This is an absolute neighborhood gem. The Brussels sprouts are divine, and every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. Their cocktails are made with fresh juices and rival any I’ve had in NYC bars. Plus they play a super hip soundtrack that adds to the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
THIS PLACE ! Do yourself a favour and eat here...from the unreal flavour combination of the food to the unparalleled service... there are few places left like this in the world. We Will certainly return next time we visit. Thank you Locus for making us feel at home ❤️
Wow. Had a great meal and drinks. Instead of charging my card $85 dollars for the food and drinks my wife and I consumed Locus charged our credit card $8, 500 (appx). One hundred times the amount owed. After receiving an alert from our credit card (within 15 minutes of leaving Locus), our evening with friends, was ruined as we had to go back to the restaurant pick up a cheque for the balance of the gross overcharge owed and deal with this gross mistake.
Locus is fundamentally sketchy if they need intentionally use or abuse customer credit cards for purpose or preserving financing. Pictures of all receipts and the $8000 plus cheque the restaurant issued (which we hope will not bounce) are available at any time.

Step back in time to 2007 with this restaurant! Stopped in here after a few other places up Main, haven't been there in a good 15 years. Well, I feel like I went back in time, and not in a good way. Don't order the gluten free, it was just Costco gluten free bread in place of flatbread etc, no flavour or love. Not quite sure how it's still kicking when so many others have gone under in the area. Drinks and service was good, but food left a little to be desired.
I came here for Dine Out since the menu looked interesting. I was not expecting to be so pleasantly surprised.
The portion along with quality was perfect. The mushroom cheesy bread pudding was specular - something I'd like to try myself at home. The drinks were fun. I had a great time here.
Everything was absolutely delicious from drinks to food. Prices were beyond exceptional and food came out fast. Great atmosphere and good service as well. Highly recommend.
An establishment I have long been wanting to visit for awhile now due to the serving of wild boar. I could say I highly enjoyed the experience. I came in during brunch hour with a good friend and we shared a french toast and locus skillet with pulled wild boar. I also ordered a peach and banana smoothie on the side as a drink accompaniment. The skillet was a good blend of protein and greens making it feel “healthy” for what you are eating. The egg was cooked as requested (over-medium) with a nice golden yolk. The wild boar unsurprisingly is on the gamier ends of meats in general but mixing the egg and greens with one bit blends the gaminess of the wild boar meat into a rich and delectable unique taste completely masking the gamey taste of the meat. Although, the price is on the higher end for the quantity received. The highlight of our dining experience was the French toast. The D’Anjou pear had just the right amount of sweetness combined with the salty yet sweet flavour of the vanilla cream cheese drizzle to create a dish that was rich and luxurious to the palate. The candied walnuts also added a nice crunch and alternate texture to the soft interior of the French toast. The texture of the French toast I would describe as a whole wheat brioche, soft but having the slight grainy texture of whole wheat bread. Compared to French toasts with berry accompaniments, the D’Anjou pear created a sweetness which did not overpower the dish as strongly. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and I could see myself coming back to try their dinner service. The service was good without any fuss and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. The atmosphere in my opinion gives off the vibe of a good place to catch up with close friends or acquaintances and see how things are going in their lives. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and opening up one’s palate to new experiences.
Had an amazing brunch. Such a beautiful spot. Staff were awesome. 100% recommend. Looking forward to next time. ❤️
