Totally worth visiting to try their signature sticky rice with crispy chicken skin that is not found in other restaurants. I would recommend pre-ordering it as they sell out of this quick and when we went, we got the last one which was also the smaller size as it also comes in a larger size. Unless you have over 8 people, the small size should suffice if you order other dishes.

Otherwise they serve solid classics like lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, green beans with chilli, and fried beef with flat noodles. All the dishes we tried were standard good. Their crab roe and tofu was creamy, light, and delicious as well. Ambiance is a typical, simple no frills Chinese restaurant.

Tried Li’s signature sticky rice with chicken—crispy fried sticky rice stuffed with perfectly seasoned chicken. So flavourful!

Everything is minus 5 stars!!!!
Not too polite server; did not understand our wishes; long waiting time and most importantly the food is simply not suitable for human consumption.

Have been here a few times already and it’s become one of my favourite Chinese restaurants! The fried eggplant was delicious and my family especially enjoyed the stir fry beef. Really recommend bringing friends and family here!

Much like any Chinese restaurant, this place offers the intimacy and coziness of smaller sized restaurants akin to any dining experience in Kerrisdale!! Great food and great atmosphere for social groups!

Last night we came to the former Gen Ji, which is now renamed Li Ji. They add Sichuan cuisine to the original Cantonese cuisine. We ordered a Sichuan boiled fish which was very authentic and delicious!

The chef Li was from famous Szechuan restaurant Ban Bu Xian, exactly same taste but have even more option, the egg York fried pumpkin was a killer, that pumpkin was creamy ,but also bit crunchy, soft inside, crispy outside, so was that flavorful fried eggplant, that was first deep fried make it crispy and then wok stirred fried with sauce so it also has a unique texture taste. That twice double cooked pork belly was delicious as same as ban bu xian’s so was that sour spicy fried shredded potato , it’s really good. Their pork belly is tender and not too spicy, though their restaurant name was a Cantonese one, also have many Cantonese food options, but their Szechuan food was really authentic, cause their chef Li cooking very well.

An older server keeps saying their seafood is amazing, and not ordering from them would be a crime.if you are not her friend ,be prepared to get different treatment. If could give zero stars, i would.
