A wonderful place to spend some time or get some work done. Staff are always friendly and kind. I hope it opens again soon.

I haven't been back here since 2014 and I used to love this place - the mambai mash and the cinnamon bun were stars and the chicken curry sandwich was the best. This time I went and no one was in there at noon on a Saturday and the buns were most certainly a day old. It's very disheartening. I wish they could be the same as the old days.

Thai salad has linguini noodles, not rice noodles as advertised.

One of the best places I have been to! Their food is absolutely amazing and highly recommend it!

The banana lassi was boss, touches of ginger and turmeric, potentially sweetened with dates. Nice place which would also be good for some work, events, etc. Big space.

Great place and excellent service ?

Would be a great place, but unfortunately, the entire area is overrun with drug addicts. Google's Street View timeline shows the area's decay.

The owners are very warm and friendly. It seems to have that family/neighbourly feel to it. Great diverse menu with lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Ample space and they also feature many local artists, with a big private meeting room available to all during business hours. The space is large enough to practice social distancing while still enjoying a cup of coffee, pastries, soup, or sandwiches in any of the cozy couches or chairs.

Attentative services. Good food. Thanks for their large meeting room for our music jam weekly.Loved the name as well. Feels like the place has its ownership in the neighborhood. I know it is a sketchy location. But the key is to be there with the attitude of an owner of the city and make it better rather than separate yourself from it.

This is a great cafe, quite a hidden secret as it borders the Downtown Eastside and the area may deter some people. However, it has lots of space (perfect for social distancing meetings) a cool and calming vibe, nicely homemade food and good coffee. Excellent for small groups to meet, or if you want a quiet study spot.
