Went for my wifes Birthday dinner
We enjoyed the food but the service we not good
We were seated at 7pm - brought water
At 7:24 I got up and went to find our waitress and asked if we could at least order a drink ..
A different waitress brought the drinks and we got her to take our food order ( she clearly wasnt supposed to be our waitress but did anyway )
Once our food arrived no one checked on us- we planned on having a few drinks but no one ever came over to see if we wanted one or how the food was
i couldnt be bothered to chase down our waitress a second time
Eventually they cleared our plates -
I had to flag her down to ask for the bill
She was quick to present the Tip screen with 18% being the lowest suggestion
(short female waitress with straight black hair )
I manually put in a 10$ tip hopefully for the cooks ...
TLDR - Food was good - place was a bit loud - service was bad

Loved the food at Loula’s, been meaning to try them for so long! The pita bread with 3 dips is a must have, in my opinion. I also found the prawn spaghetti and lamb souvlaki’s exceptionally good! And if you’re a chocolate lover, you have to get the espresso mousse :)

Went for my birthday, with my husband and a couple friends. My main reason for giving this a low review is this :
If you are going to charge premium prices for not a lot of food, then the quality should be top notch.
Most of the dishes were good, not great. Our favourite was the dip trio, that was very good. The lemon potatoes are pretty good, but Nammos does it better. THE $40 LAMB WAS BONE DRY, and had little meat. I forgot to take a photo of the lamb, I was so disappointed! Not worth it, go to any other greek restaurant, they have more consistency, better portions and quality. The main thing is this restaurant is nicely decorated, so atmosphere, I rated high.

The food was reasonable, especially considering it was happy hour all day for the day we went. Unfortunately the music was so loud we could barely hear one another speak. We both left feeling horse. It was more of a club atmosphere rather than a restaurant.

If you’re seeking a dining experience that masquerades behind a façade of sophistication while delivering nothing but utter disappointment, look no further than this so-called "upscale" establishment. Our attempt to secure a table for ten should have been a mere formality, but it devolved into an exasperating ordeal that left us questioning the very essence of hospitality, the hostess was utterly clueless, repeatedly placing me on hold to consult her manager as if I were requesting a rare artifact rather than a simple reservation. When I finally got in touch with the manager, his lack of customer service experience was glaringly apparent. He was not only dismissive but downright rude, insisting that we were required to select a $60 set menu simply due to our party size. After an eternity on the phone, we begrudgingly secured a table without the set menu
As if that weren’t enough, we found ourselves running late—a reality of managing a large group. Upon calling to adjust our reservation by a mere 30 minutes, the same incompetent hostess once again had to consult her manager. The rude manager threatened that we wouldn’t be able to place any orders after 10:40 PM, despite the restaurant being open until midnight. It was astonishing that they expected us to arrive and order within an unrealistic timeframe after having made the reservation in the first place
Upon arrival, the server was unhelpful and rude, providing vague answers and ultimately contradicting the manager’s previous statements regarding last calls for food and drinks. It felt as if the staff was actively disinterested in our presence, making us feel unwelcome from the get-go. We were left bewildered by the server’s changing narrative about last calls, which only added to the confusion and frustration
The drinks? Average at best—more akin to a juice box than anything worthy of a fine dining experience. And let’s not even get started on the food. Claiming to serve the "best calamari in Vancouver" is a bold statement that they failed to deliver. I’d take OPA’s calamari any day over their lackluster offering. To top it all off, the music was so loud that engaging with our server felt like shouting across a battlefield
In summary, this establishment is a prime example of style over substance. The combination of rude staff, poor communication, and subpar food and drink left us with nothing but a bitter taste in our mouths. I can unequivocally say that I will never return, nor would I recommend this place to anyone seeking a genuine dining experience and did not even bother to clear the table before taking the bill. Save your time and money—there are far better options out there.

The music was incredibly loud—definitely not a good choice for a date night unless you enjoy yelling. The service was slow; everyone at the table received their food except me. By the time my dish finally arrived, I had lost my appetite. The bucatini had barely any lamb and was overwhelmingly peppery. Portions were small, especially considering the higher price point. I wouldn’t return.

I love the atmosphere of Loula’s and it’s always such a fun time, especially for late nights after dinner and plate breaking. However myself and friends have tried to make small group bookings here on a few occasions and it’s impossible to get ahold of them by phone or email. I know they are busy but even a no would be better than the no response!

Terrible value for a group booking (9 people). I would avoid this place if you are planning a large group event.
1. Painful booking experience: It took an unnecessary amount of back and forth email correspondence over the course of 9 days to confirm the details (2 and 5 day response delays from the restaurant). All my attempts to call went straight to voice mail. This should have been enough of a red flag.... but let me continue.
2. Slow service: It took over 2 hours until the mains were served for our group of 9 people. We finally got the bills after 3 hours.
3. Miniscule portions: In the set menu, which is $75/person (with 3 proteins), we only ended up getting like 2-3 skewers per person. The lemon potatoes, greek salad, pilaf rice, spanokopita, and pita's were mid-average quality.
4. Atmosphere: The music was loud enough that you had to borderline shout to have a conversation with the person next to you.
5. Overcharged: This is partially my fault for not noticing and calling it out at the time... but I was too distracted as I had to extend my parking for the 2nd time that night due to the slow service. But they overcharged us by adding the cost for a 10th person (despite receiving confirmation 24 hours before that we reduced our group size down to 9 people). So instead of $75/person, we ended up paying $83/person + 20% automatic gratuity. I considered driving back to resolve this after it was brought to my attention, but I didn't feel like wasting another hour of my life at this restaurant.
The only redeeming quality was the interior design.

Pre-show Friday night dinner for 2 at Loula’s included DJ, plate smashing, fresh tasted souvlaki, and drinks for a great price and vibe. Do it go there

I had a very unpleasant experience from one of the hosts, she was rude and racist with our group, which was Latino and Spanish. He picked up our plates in a rude manner, even throwing food on two of our friends, he never apologized! A friend arrived late and wanted to grab a chair to sit on and she grabbed it out of his hands in a very rude manner. I had to tell him that he had to change his attitude since he was providing a service and he should be more friendly. We were a large table, so our consumption was considerable. I think we deserve better. Treatment from the lady. The waitress who served us was friendly and felt very sorry for the actions of "Cami" is the name of the hostess who served us. She was also a Spanish speaker, so I spoke to her in Spanish, since she was very racist towards us. The food was good, but It was an unpleasant experience, Thanks to that person.

Yesterday we had a reservation; We were all Mexicans. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with a Latina waitress named Gabriela, who was rude and dismissive when serving the food, serving us, and changing plates. The food and drinks were very delicious, but due to the situation with this waitress, they assigned us to another replacement girl. However, when she served us the cake, she dropped a cutlery on me, and I didn't receive an apology from her either.
Throughout the evening, we were also served by another waitress (unfortunately I can't remember her name) who was very attentive, courteous and friendly at all times.

wonderful experience easily attain by a good service. We were taken care as soon as we cross their door. what is important to me its the food. Being my first time in the restaurant, I was not confident but now that I know and have to come back to try the other item on the menu. My only regret is not leaving room for their dessert. It also mean their portion is generous. I am not familiar with Greek cuisine so I want to experience more of their culture in their hands. I trust those guy to deliver the goods in a goodly manner.
