Today I had the pleasure of going to Luca on the very last day at their old location. Despite the chaos of moving, their quality of food and service was impeccable. The owner and his wife were very courteous and kind and their food was delicious as usual. I can’t wait to go to their new location. I wish them lots of success!!!
The food was very very tasty and fresh! And the chef and waitress working there are very wonderful people and kind!
Definitely recommend it if you want a taste of really good middle eastern cuisine.
I’ve never had Egyptian food before, but this gotta be a great first experience. Food is very well seasoned and rich in flavor. We ordered koshary and lamb curry and it was delicious.
For dessert we had Egyptian rice pudding and baklava. They did not disappoint. The baklava was made of pistachios and super crispy.
10/10 great place to experience
So glad we accidentally found this gem of a restaurant. The service was so warm and welcoming from everyone we encountered. Never had Egyptian food before and can't wait to try more. I understand why Kushary is Egypt's national dish, it was comfort in a bowl. I'm not a huge fan of Rice pudding, but my partner is. He said it was the best he's ever had (and he's had a lot)....and I am a convert now. Can't wait to go back!
Delicious! We tried the lamb curry and okra tagine. We had rice pudding and baklava for dessert, also delicious. Highly recommended! Music is good and staff is very kind.
I just had the most incredibly satisfying meal, and I simply had to share my experience! This dish, featuring a rich, savory stew alongside perfectly cooked fluffy white rice, was an absolute revelation. From the moment it was placed in front of me, the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water.
The stew itself was a masterpiece of flavors. It had a deep, complex base, hinting at slow-cooked meats and a medley of spices that blended harmoniously. The consistency was ideal – thick enough to cling to the spoon and coat the palate, yet still wonderfully saucy. The pieces of meat (which appeared to be beef or lamb) were incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, showing signs of having been braised to perfection. The sprinkle of fresh herbs on top added a lovely touch of color and a fresh counterpoint to the richness of the stew.
And then there's the rice – oh, the rice! It was cooked flawlessly: each grain separate, light, and perfectly steamed, forming a beautiful dome shape. It provided the ideal canvas for the robust flavors of the stew, soaking up the sauce beautifully without becoming soggy. The small garnish of what looked like parsley on top of the rice added a touch of elegance and freshness.
This dish is the epitome of comfort food, elevated. It’s the kind of meal that warms you from the inside out and leaves you feeling completely nourished and satisfied. It's clear that a lot of care and expertise went into preparing this meal, from the selection of ingredients to the cooking technique.
Whether you're looking for a hearty lunch or a comforting dinner, this dish is an absolute must-try. It's a testament to simple, good food done exceptionally well. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back for more! Five stars without a doubt!
Nice restaurant, and staff seem very nice
If you're craving the bold and flavorful tastes of Egypt, Luca restaurant is the place to go. The atmosphere instantly transports you to the heart of Cairo, with warm, earthy tones and traditional Egyptian music playing softly in the background, making it feel like a true culinary journey.
The menu is packed with classic Egyptian dishes, each one made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I couldn’t resist trying the koshari—a hearty, comforting dish made with rice, lentils, chickpeas, and pasta, topped with crispy onions and a tangy tomato sauce. Every bite was bursting with flavor! Another highlight was the molokhia, a savory, green stew made with jute leaves, served alongside tender chicken. It was the perfect balance of rich and fragrant.
The staff is friendly and eager to guide you

I had a fantastic all-you-can-eat buffet experience today for Ramadan. The restaurant offers an authentic taste of Egyptian cuisine with an impressive variety of dishes. The selection included delicious hawawshi, creamy macarona béchamel, flavorful kofta, perfectly grilled chicken, rich molokhia, and stuffed vegetables (mahshi). Everything was well-prepared and full of traditional flavors.
On top of the amazing food, the service was exceptional—the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a true Egyptian cuisine experience with great hospitality!
