My favorite place on Commercial Drive, the Lunch Lady serves outstanding Vietnamese street food with both traditional and modern dishes. Start with the salad rolls with crispy fried tofu and peanut sauce. No visit is complete without the beef pho served with brisket, rare beef, rice noodles and 24 hour beef broth - perhaps the best pho in town.You can also find Vietnamese twists on classic cocktails such as the Cafè Negroni with traditional Vietnamese brewed over top of the Italian aperitivo.

Remember to make a reservation before coming over, it's always very crowded here. The atmosphere is great, and the wagyu pho has an excellent flavor. However, the fried potato wedges are extremely oily. After having the grilled bone marrow, I felt quite uncomfortable with all the grease in my stomach.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, I loved the atmosphere, good staff service and taste was awesome! Every time crowded, had better to make reservation at dinner time. Highly recommend place! One concern is that they don’t take Amex card.

I’ve gone here 3 times now and put my name on the wait list after being told it would take 20 minutes, but never get a table. Lots of others that don’t look like me doing the same seem to get tables…. Feels kinda racist, don’t bother if you’re white.

Amazing! First time and I’ll be back. I can’t believe I didn’t come sooner. From Jayden the server to the General manager the food and service was amazing. I had two amazing cocktails, spring rolls, steak and noodles! Plus an Ube desert!
