Not worth. Go to pay and their machine doesn’t work. Food wasn’t good or well priced.

Had a good lunch at Mamalee, our first time at one of their locations. I wanted their Chee Cheong Fun, but it was unavailable on a Friday around 12:30. I had their Malay Spicy Pan Mee ($19.95). It was tasty and flavourful when mixed together, and had a good amount of ground pork, fried anchovies, green onions, and a poached egg. Noodles had a nice chew. For the price, I do wish the portion size was a bit larger. The dish isn't too deep. I can't handle much spice, so was able to ask to remove the chili flakes/spice. My friend had their Hainanese Chicken Clear Noodle Soup ($19.75). They said it was warm and comforting, with ample pieces of tender Hainanese chicken, bean sprouts, some green veg, and both egg noodles and rice noodles. For lunch, it was a filling bowl.
Service was friendly. Cash or debit only. According to signs inside, they have a senior discount on Wednesdays. Very convenient for those near Stadium-Chinatown station (as it's in the Keefer Place roundabout by T&T). Would recommend.
Had a great experience at Mamalee for Lunch. Would recommend to family and friends. The owner is very kind and helpful when needed help with ordering the menu

This place is not big but it definitely has the best Hainanese Chicken in the metro Vancouver area.

This is disappointing. So much hyped online. Chicken and rice was ok. Portion size is illogical. Ordered half chicken and a bowl of rice thinking that’d be more than the chicken and rice plate. Nope. Laksa was meh. Dessert was meh (and completely different from what the picture looks like). Even the grass jelly drink was meh. As we left, someone asked us whether it was good. We said it was ok and they left. That was our good deed for the day.

Disclaimer, I discovered that I am not a fan of hainanese chicken.
The food is okay with portions that are on the smaller side. The service was good and efficient and the background music was a zen japanese lo-fi jazz. However, I think it is overpriced for such a casual, low effort eatery + I wanted extra sauce and wasn't told anything about it costing extra until I found $3.50 dollars on the bill for something like 2 tablespoons. Don't think I will go back. Definitely would not go back if not for the charming cute asian waitress.

All three stars go to the Hainanese chicken — it was tender and quite close to the version I had in Singapore. However, aside from bringing out the food and water, there was essentially no service, yet they still suggest a minimum 15% tip. You place your own order via QR code, and even have to get up to pay at the counter.
Portions were very small — the “half chicken” looked more like a quarter, which made the price feel quite high.

ordered the potstickers (must-try!), crispy sole fillet, seafood tofu claypot, orange chicken, black pepper beef, roast duck, har gow, and dry-fried beef chow fun — everything was on point.
Highlights: potstickers were crispy and juicy, the chow fun had great wok hei, and the har gow had whole shrimp and thin, chewy wrappers.
Service was fast, prices were reasonable, and portions were generous. Will definitely be back!

Our first food after the long haul flight! The location is very close to where stay. A cozy spot that is clean and offers good Malay food. We tried their Hainan chicken rice (we didn’t get the soup though), laksa, Milo dinosaur 🦕 and bubur chacha — they were very tasty and full of flavor. The sauce served with the rice was on the spot! The staff who helped us was very nice and helpful. Definitely a worth the visit!

The location is very nice 👌
Went for a quick dinner bite before a show at the QE Theatre with a friend. Friendly service with good food at reasonable prices. Was in a hurry to take photos, so will have to go back again. Definitely recommended

Used to go to the W Broadway location all the time while at UBC. Unfortunately, the food really isn’t the same (not sure about the current quality at the old place). The chicken isn’t as flavorful as they used to be, and the cucumber used to be pickled but now it’s just freshly cut cucumber without seasonings. Rice doesn’t feel the same as well. Average at best.
