This is disappointing. So much hyped online. Chicken and rice was ok. Portion size is illogical. Ordered half chicken and a bowl of rice thinking that’d be more than the chicken and rice plate. Nope. Laksa was meh. Dessert was meh (and completely different from what the picture looks like). Even the grass jelly drink was meh. As we left, someone asked us whether it was good. We said it was ok and they left. That was our good deed for the day.
Disclaimer, I discovered that I am not a fan of hainanese chicken.
The food is okay with portions that are on the smaller side. The service was good and efficient and the background music was a zen japanese lo-fi jazz. However, I think it is overpriced for such a casual, low effort eatery + I wanted extra sauce and wasn't told anything about it costing extra until I found $3.50 dollars on the bill for something like 2 tablespoons. Don't think I will go back....
All three stars go to the Hainanese chicken — it was tender and quite close to the version I had in Singapore. However, aside from bringing out the food and water, there was essentially no service, yet they still suggest a minimum 15% tip. You place your own order via QR code, and even have to get up to pay at the counter.

Portions were very small — the “half chicken” looked more like a quarter, which made the price feel quite high.
