One of the better Hong Kong cafes in town! Lots of usual Chinese/ Western choices but some unique offerings such as jambalaya and smoked fish. Combo deal came with soup, bread, drink, and dessert and was in good portion. Also liked the stake….pleasantly surprised it was very good!

Got take out , order baked porkchop on rice. Over sauce under baked less only got like half a pork chop in it.
80% was tomato sauce, 10% pork 10% onions and mushrooms and juat plain rice with a little a sliver of egg whosked in. Waste of money dont bother, a shame for hk cafe food.

Decent HK cafe. They have a lot of the standard fare. I did feel a little rushed though, the staff were stretched pretty thin on that day.

I've visited Hong Kong before, so when I drove across this cafe, I got excited and made an unplanned stop at the place. Me and my friend sat on the booth close to the counter and the kitchen. We waited for quite a while but we received no response. The lady at the counter and the lady serving looked at us a few times but chose not to attend us. Two other tables that came in after we did were given menus and water immediately as they entered. So quick that the water was on the table while they weren't even done sitting down. We grabbed the to go menu from the entrance ourselves after having waited this long. The lady from the counter came up and asked if we were ready. We asked for the menu and she came back and threw the menu on the corner of the table without looking at us, let alone putting the menus in front of each of us.
We didn't feel welcomed at Mandarin Hong Kong cafe. It smelled good inside but we left the place and didn't place an order after the service we received.

Delicious and reliable Hong Kong Cafe food. The baked bbq pork chop was delicious and of a generous portion. The pork chops were crispy and juicy while the tomato sauce was rich and creamy. Just wish they sprinkled cheese on top cuz if they did that, it would be 10/10! They also serve crepes! The banana crepe was delicious and aesthetic too with colourful sprinkles and a banana candy. The curry beef was standard. Their menu has a bit of everything.

The food is okay but the staff attitudes are really horrendous. They have real contempt for their (non Asian?) customers.
Do these people think they can run a business while having no respect for their customers
Update:
Despite 4 of 6 Restaurants in the Strip Mall taking Credit Cards,
today they DEMANDED that they would only take Debit or Cash
Interesting that they did NOT say that to the 2 Asian customers in front of me.
You probably want to skip this place if you are not an Asian customer

Price is reasonable

Pretty terrible Chinese food, which is horribly disappointing for Vancouver. There were several Chinese families eating at the restaurant. I can't imagine why. The staff were talking to them in Mandarin. It is about the worst Chinese food I've ever had in Vancouver. I work in China, and regularly say Chinese food is better in Vancouver because of better quality ingredients and good chefs. This place would be an embarrassment.

Yummy food but service is a little bit on the slow side still.

The bbq suckling pig is the better class when compared to other restaurants in the city.
The skin is crispy and crunchy as expected.
The other dishes are average.

Hua

Our weekly go-to for a comforting and reliable dining experience.

Overpriced. Asked for lunch special with spaghetti, they confirmed it. Asked about it specifically, they confirmed it twice. Brought out food with rice, because, according to them, that’s what I ordered. Sent it back, took an eternity to return, probably with spit in it.

Amazing food and service.
