The staff were very friendly and attentive, consistently checking in to see if we needed anything. The onigiri had good seasoning—especially the beef, which was on the sweeter side, and the takowasa, which had a nice kick of flavor. The nori, however, was a bit too stiff. We also tried the original ramen, which was quite watery at first. Thankfully, you can adjust the flavor by adding shio or shoyu sauce to your liking, which helped bring it to life. I still miss the old Marutama...
this maruhatchi location has the same options you know and love as the usual, plus more - onigiri and other things. i didn’t try them as i wanted my usual, but it’s a nice option.
it was later in the day so it wasn’t busy at all, maybe 2 other tables seated
there are only a few parking spots but luckily we got one right away

Maruhachi GAIDEN serves authentic Japanese ramen and curry rice. My daughter especially loves the curry rice—it’s one of her favorites. The restaurant has parking space right in front, making it super convenient, especially for families with kids. It’s a great spot for both lunch and dinner, and it’s close to a coffee shop where you can grab a takeaway coffee afterward. This has become a place we frequently visit, and it’s always a great experience!
