Tried the batter box for the first time, got the half bbq/spicy combination with taters, and gravy.
The seasonings for the fried chicken flavors tasted low quality and artificial especially the spicy flavor. It reminded me of Fritou's spicy fried chicken flavor - very salty and artificial tasting. The bbq flavor tasted artificial as well but not as bad as the spicy flavor. I didn't like the flavor as well. The batter on the fried chicken was so thin, and soggy. it It reminded me of KFC's original recipe chicken batter which sucks. There's no point of eating fried chicken if it's not crispy. Mary Brown's is just that.
The size of the pieces were also tiny too. I've never seen such small chicken pieces in my life.
The gravy was ok. The taters was the only thing I enjoyed eating.
I told the staff at MB that I wanted the mango habanero sauce. She told me it's inside the box. When I got home and took a lot, there was no sauce... Not cool.
Don't see myself returning, there are much better fried chicken options in Vancouver than MB's like Church's, Popeyes, jollibee, hi five, etc.
I've tried all of the chains, MB is the second worse, a step above from KFC.

Cashier didnt listen to my order. Got it wrong. I ordered 3 piece tenders and mini mary and got a 5 piece tenders instead. Won't be coming back

As someone from the East Coast, I’ve always loved Mary Brown’s the food at this location is consistently great. However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There is this Asian guy usually working the night shift, who is consistently rude and unfriendly. I’m not sure they understand what good customer service should look like. It’s really disappointing, especially when the food is otherwise good. I hope management addresses this, as it affects the overall experience.

Very poor service..the only reason i go to Mary brown’s is because of their red spicy powder. So i went yesterday and i ordered almost for $30 and before i pay i always ask for on side spicy powder and the cashier said they don’t give it i was so shocked because everytime i go to any location they are always happy to do that even i got one 15 days ago from this store.. it was so dissatisfied and disappointed.. i told her I don’t want to order thn she didn’t even care and not even said sorry… poor customer service
